  • Rep, any Samsung S5 deals, probably around $300 price? Harvey Norman done it few months ago

    • +2

Harvey Norman was $399 with a $50 Amex rebate and $25 HN new customer credit. Still a good price.

      • Yeah I bought one for my sister. paid $322
wondering why the price of S5 is still high until now. should be around $300ish as it's a 2 years old phone?
need to buy another one for family member.

  • +1

Rep, can you match the price with MSY for the Huawei Mate 7. They sold it for $429 last month.

    • do you think the camera in MATE 7 is good? especially in low light environment

      • +2

yes, I own a single sim version and I love this phone, camera is pretty good as well, takes good photos in low light too, especially after the Lolipop update, it now has Mannual mode too, only thing is missing is, OIS. But apart from this, its a Perfect device with superb battery.

It also support a very rare feature of Dual Sim Dual Active

        • Optus and Telstra switch off their 2G networks at the end of the year. Might have to become a Vodafone customer to use a dual SIM dual active phone such as this one.

  • Good price OP

  • waiting for S7 edge for this price

  • Or a deal on the s7 (preferably in gold)

  • +1

  • Deal on Nexus 5X or 6P?

  • +1

will defo buy a mate 7 if matched msy's $429 price from a couple weeks ago

    • I second

  • Just for purchaser knowledge. You were able to pick up a Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB in October for $688 plus a crappy phone at JB Hi-Fi. It is now 6 months later.

  • +4

S6 will be remembered as the dud child. Would rather have an S5 and more money, or an S7. I consider $688 to be bad value.

    • I'm not happy with my S6 Edge…

      • Why not? I know the battery is not the best but otherwise it's a good phone right?

        • Its the little things.

          • Biggest problem for me is with lag, even opening up simple apps like dialer.
          • Battery life isn't great at all
          • Heats up quickly
          • Edge screen poor for some games, curved edges and all
          • Samsung default apps are poor, can't uninstall
          • Still no Marshmallow update
          • I've installed NOVA launcher to replace TouchWiz
          • Bluetooth connections do not auto connect despite none of the other devices in range. Have to set each time in car if I've ever turned Bluetooth off to save the limited batteries.

I'm sure many other people will love it.

        • @FabMan:

Oh, the thing is, the Marshmallow update may resolve these issues.

It will definitely affect the UI, possibly improve default applications, reduce battery drain, modify how Bluetooth connects and it could reduce lag.

It may not of course, but come on update!!!

        • @FabMan:
Wow that's a long list! Lag and the Bluetooth connectivity issues would be deal breakers for me. Maybe the s7 edge is the way to go when the price comes down which is still a few months away.

        • @titan0r: Too late now, but the Marshmallow update fixed both issues. So the S7 which uses Marshmallow also should be free of those two issues.

          Other issues still persist.

      • have the s6 - have no issue with it. i knew the cons coming into it and im happy with the phone

        • I have the Sony Xperia Z3, bought the S6 Edge for the wife. Now she has the Xperia Z3 and I have the S6 Edge… Could be that I had the phone I liked beaten from me.

      • Marshmallow still hasn't arrived..grrr!
