  • Incredible price. Thanks Jimmy.

    • A bit too incredible?

Have you got on from these guys Jimmy & run a speed & capacity test at all?

      • If you are looking for feedback, you might want to go through comments on previous posts

        • Well I'd prefer feedback from someone who has received one of these advertised cards & if it passed the tests.

They're being shipped out of Honkers so it not like it's cheap & easy to return them if they are fake.

@supabrudda: Here is a discussion and test results.

          @Steptoe:

Not with this mob ! I got a faulty Sandisk USB from them - they don't want to know. Had to raise it with ebay to get a refund.

          Good luck

  • Any one bought from this seller before?
    Is it original?

    • +1

      It's in post already :)

      • hahaha - sorry - missed it. :)

    Some of the feedback…

Advertised as in Australia - posted from Hong Kong. ETD 13 days - arrived in 20
The SANDISK 64GB is fake dont work. Dont buy from this seller.

    Fake - don´t buy
WARNING SD CARDS ARE FAKE! AVOID AT ALL COST. SCAMMER ALTERT!!

I got bitten on ebay by a local seller (although i did get a refund). The package had 32Gb 80MBs Sandisk. after full testing it was a 8Gb & R/W speed were sub 10MBs

I'd rather just pay a few extra dollars & get it from PC Byte via ebay.

    • I wouldnt trust anyone with that sort of grammar

      • +4

True, but its ebay. Fake until proven genuine.

      • +3

Well that would rule out ~80% of ebay and ~99% of sites like AliExpress, GeekBuying, EverBuying, GearBest for you then lol

      • wouldn ' t

    • +3

It clearly states on item page

"FREE Economy delivery from outside AU | See details

      Item location:
      HK, Hong Kong

      Posts to:
      Worldwide"

Not sure if I should trust someone who isn't even sure where to look for details.

      • +2

Some of the sellers listings have the item as in australia then they still ship from OS. There are lots of them doing it now, it is really annoying.

        • +1

Yes. I got stung recently on eBay "estimated" delivery of 7-12 days. It's now been 21 days and counting…

      Shipping from HK

I took the bite for the EVO plus. When I get it I'll report back if it is genuine or not.

    • +3

Yeah ordered the 64GB version a week ago.

Don't know why people stress out over a seller with 99.6% positive feedback. There is no incentive for them to sell fake cards.

      • +3

Don't know why people stress out over a seller with 99.6% positive feedback.

Not everybody who buys a memory card knows how to test the card, assuming that it occurs to them to test it in the first place.

If the card arrives in a timely manner, looks similar to the pictures in the listing and works in their device, they'll happily assume that its genuine and give the seller positive feedback.

        • +1

There are lots of counterfeit item on Ebay. I bought a mobile case on Ebay, which is not genuine, even after I get confirmation from official customer service, the seller still don't want to refund or pay return postage. Ebay just ask me to try to negotiate with seller again, hopeless.

        • @guijiansh:

Any seller that has used genuine or original in title and has sold me a fake has always had to refund me. Its paypal policy. So basically i get a free item and refund. Win i say

        • +1

That's what happened to me, it looked legit, seemed to work fine, so I gave the seller 5 stars & positive feedback. It was ony after chatting with @rancho here on Ozb that I actually ran the tests & realised it was a fake. The seller is still selling them (they're in Melbourne).

        • +1

@guijiansh: Did you follow this procedure? If after 3 business days of opening a request and you're not satisfied with the seller's response or if the seller ignores you, you have to ask eBay to step in and help. eBay has always refunded me every single time.

        • @fourleanhounds:
No idea, the seller accept my return request, just don't wanna pay return cost, and ebay customer service replied me they can step in after one month cause seller already took my request.

        • @guijiansh: That's just a delaying tactic by the seller who hopes you'll let this lapse to avoid giving you a refund. Just set a reminder in your calendar of the date on which you can ask eBay to step in and once it's in eBay's hands, eBay will process your refund. Patience and tenacity is what it takes to make these errant sellers accountable.

LOL are you serious, got negged to oblivion for a half life 3 joke! Wow the half life people really are sensitive. Sorry!

      • +4

Dunno about oblivion…You should ask JV about negs, he's had so many negatives that he's probably now composed of mostly antimatter! ;)

  • 32gb evo plus is $12.09.

  • Have bought from them last month and have not got it yet. Supposed to have been sent from aus.

      • I know what you meant. It was clearly marked location in vic and indicated arrival in a few days after ordering. I double checked before posting my comments. It's someone's livelihood, you don't want to get wrong. Hope it can help.

        • Are you sure you bought from the same store?

        • @barginfan: if you do want to help people avoid buying from this store. Take screen shot of what you think is not right. Upload that screen shot somewhere and post a link with your claim and a negative vote.

If i were you, i would do that.

I have bought and received three cards from this seller. All tested and to spec. Two are used everyday in my bike cams(GP session) for the last month and doing good.

    • good to hear!

  • Spent 30 in a Lexmark sd card, but it's rated at 95mb/sec. Oh well.. :s

I ordered 1 last week waiting for it to arrive

What do you reckon? Pretty obvious isn't it?

  • What's the best way to run speed tests on SD cards? I am on Windows.

I have a 32GB SD card (Samsung EVO Class 10) that always seems to make my DSLR say "Movie recording stopped", which is due to the card not being able to be written to fast enough. I couldn't find a good way to test the speed though. Any recommendations?

    • +1

      Use this

      • thanks!

    • Yeah the Evos are pretty cheap and dont have good writes, not great for DSLRs. Most of the SanDisks are pretty bad too, unless you buy the real high end ones that cost an arm.
There are a number of good priced PNY cards on Amazon that have good writes.

  • Bought a SAMSUNG 32gb plus for $11.99. Will report if its authentic and lives up to speed tests when it arrives.
