Child convertible seat Non-ISOFIX - Recommendation

Hi All,
Looking for a child convertible car seat for 0-4/8 yrs. It has to be NON-ISOFIX as my car is a TOYOTA camry 2005 model.
Have checked multiple sites and reviews..but the ones with good reviews are always ISOFIX ones…
could not decide any budget for this as it is for the kid and hard to set any. Love to get some bargains though.
Was checking the websites: here are the models which i checked:

  1. Mothers choice cherish - good reviews.. but heard the height markers are very low and small other issues etc.
  2. Safe n sound meridian AHR/SICT - good reviews..
Please let me know if any model listed here or not is good and any bargains on it.

Thankyou in advance.

  • Saw one on discount on ozbargain yesterday. Think it was a maxi cosi.

  • After doing a bit of research we recently bought this one: http://www.babybunting.com.au/britax-safe-n-sound-millenia-s…

Note that the price you see there is not the cheapest and if you hunt around you can get a better deal, it's not a cheap seat by any means but it is large-ish and therefore we hope it will last the child quite a while in the various configurations.

Our bub isn't born yet, only a few weeks to go though. We had it professionally fitted last weekend (2008 Camry sedan) and so far it looks good and fits well.

Edit: This seat is ISOFIX compatible but you don't have to use it. Just means if you change cars later and the new one has ISOFIX it's a bonus. It is still perfectly secure in a car that isn't ISOFIX compatible though.

  • Why wouldn't you want an ISOFIX compatible car seat? We are in the process of choosing one as well, but we see an ISOFIX compatible seat as a bonus. ISOFIX compatible seats mean they will work with or without the new (easier to use / safer to install) ISOFIX fittings.

  • @bonezAU: thankyou.
Was under the impression that ISOFIX should have the compatible car..But didnt knew that the ISOFIX compatible car seats exist which can be used on older models..
I was also looking at millenia SICT one(got very good reviews in internet for this one), excluded it since was under wrong impression for ISOFIX.
@ebj66ha: the maxi cosi one is 6m-4/8yr convertible booster seat. So it doesnt suit newborn kids.

  • With ISOFIX compatible saw below models have very good reviews, though premium ones:
    1. Maxi cosi A4 Euro Nxt Convertible Car Seat
    2. Safe n sound Millenia/platinum pro SICT
    3. Infa-Secure Luxi Crown CS 4210

I am more inclined towards Safe n sound millenia SICT hesitating for the price and no discounts at the moment much.

    • if you haven't gotten the car seat yet we just got the britax safe n sound millenia @ baby Kingdom on sale for 499 seemed like a good price

(I didn't hit reply by mistake so same comment below) ><

  • We have https://www.babybunting.com.au/britax-safe-n-sound-platinum-…

I find this seat is better as the material used, we bought ours for around $600 (Sale).

Baby seat mostly quiet and it look a bit squashy but baby did not complaint much and it is very safe.

Do not matter for ISOFIX or not, it fix normal car without it.ISOFIX is just make it fit easier
