I picked this one up for ($254) $154 after cashback when they had it at HN. I wont comment on sound (I really cant tell much of a difference with all the audio stuff). However, the bluetooth is a bit rubbish. With a few androids I tried the sound would be fine for 10 min or so and then just become intermittent and a really bad connection. I took it back to HN and plugged it in and and straight away it was a terrible connection, he said it must be faulty and gave me a new unit. I got the new unit took it home and same problem. I did get a new box and thus done 2 x cashbacks, so the unit only cost me $54 in the end. As such I just used audio cable and lived with it. Another thing although iphone connection seemed to be better, it does not like changing from one device to another at all.
I tried factory resets, uploading new firmware etc.. i.e. buyer beware, no help from Phillips either.

I had this soundbar and put up with it for about 6 months before returning it. Always would go out of sync. Even after adjusting the delay, a few minutes later it would be out again. Crap soundbar. I spoke to Philips about it to get a solution and they didn't offer me a solution - just said it is within the warranty period and to take it back for a refund. Bought a JBL one (much more expensive) and it has been fantastic

EDIT - I think my one may have been HTL2150 though. This may be a newer model and may have fixed it. I don't have it anymore to check the money number (the picture looks identical to my old one) Just found the old receipt - it was HTL3140

    • link to the jbl? thanks

  • Also had this soundbar, basically do not buy it it's not worth the trouble.

  • Also got this last year at HN with cash back and welcome credit and gifted to son.
Was aware of negative reviews so asked him to keep a close eye on it.
Only issue he has is that the sub sometimes loses contact then gains contact after a few seconds.
    Otherwise he thinks its great.

Surely an ear would be more useful…

And this is not considered important? In a piece of audio gear?

      Otherwise he thinks its great.

Sounds like the product is a pile of absolutely shite.
