Pretty good price for these knives. Cheapest anywhere I've seen. Currently look like best bang for buck set I could find. Tried at another kitchen store and feel good in the hand and not too heavy. Apparently Furi stick by the 25year guarantee as well from some reviews I've read and the kitchen store staff.

If you bundle it with the groupon 5% off voucher get another 5% off! (https://www.groupon.com.au/deals/dealbank_en_au/gg-the-good-…). If this gets a few plus votes though you might want to hold off on buying the groupon deal just for this as it may sell out……

  Neither TGG nor Furi's website inform where these are made (with Japanese steel). So I assume China?

  Have had a set of these for 5 years odd. Good knives, stay sharp. I checked the knives and they don't say where they are made, so the Chinese presumption may well be correct

  Have this set also, great knives for the price (I paid $175). On the knives they say Japanese Steel Australian Design, iirc the box did say made in China

    Thanks, was about to ask what kinda knives they are.
    I'd assume by "Japanese" it means lighter-weight knives, rather than heavier German ones or something.
