If you NEED to get hold of the iPhone SE and want a little discount, you can:
Buy an eGift Card as posted by easternculture's deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/241222
Wait for your eGift Card to arrive - You will receive an email confirming your purchase - note this is not your The Good Guys Digital Gift Card. An activation email for your Digital Gift Card will be emailed to you in approx. 2-4 business days from purchase.
use the $500 credit (bought for $475) and then contribute another $179 (You could even do a sneaky with multiple eGift Cards but I wont go there!)
More Pro tips:
a) Keep an eye out for the 'clearance' 5s cases (and other peripherals) by retailers. I grabbed 2 for $2 the other day from Dimmey's. They also are on clearance at other retailers (Woolies etc). The SE will be around for a while (wont go absolete for 2-3yrs and these cases fit perfectly! See: http://www.imore.com/iphone-5-cases-fit-iphone-se
b) If you have an iPhone 4s or above that's in good/great condition, you can score a trade in for $100+ in Apple Credit (used at Apple stores only) which might save you more than this deal! https://reuserecycle-apple-au.brightstar.com/is-bin/INTERSHO…
c) OK we all get it, 16GB sucks. Especially with the size of the .jpg files the awesome new camera on the SE will create. To maximise your storage you should setup the Google Photos app, rather than the expensive Cloud services like iCloud etc. http://www.cnet.com/au/products/google-photos/ and YouTube tutorials for more info. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjzttXdWRbU that way you can delete image file from the phone and still have it online. For free.
Hope this helps someone out there.
