Cheap however cheap MTB with rear suspension usually are not that good.

correction…theyre even worse than 'not that good'….

Pretty sure these would have a warning to actually NOT use these off-road

  • This bike will fail quickly, best to spend a little more and get a solid frame with better components.

    Lol seriously?!

  • I love it when they have a warning on the Bike "Warning : Not for Stunting".

  • This is the sort of bike I picture JV riding on a flat road with a rocking motion :)

  • If your going for a cheap MTB at least go for a hardtail. That suspension system cannot really be used offroad (or what you save will probably go into medical expenses instead then), and will only reduce the power transfer through the frame, making your riding less efficient.

This one won't go the distance - wouldn't consider it good value.

As others have said spend a bit more and head to a bike shop.

bought something similar years ago, prob from BigW.
Not sure about proper off-road trails, but normal street riding or just a little exercise is ok.
Not the best of quality (crappy gears), very heavy sucks going uphill.
Used a few times myself, then the old folks used it a few times.
After that I left it my on patio for years, it rusted on the non-painted parts, then I gave it away.

I have a 60cm wheel front shock only Cyclops bike for my son. It is not that bad compared with my cheapest merida and giant hardtrails but the frame design or geometry whatever it is called isn't great for extended time of riding but short distance is ok. I remember this front shock only model was on special for $99 which is hard to beat if you only want it to ride around in the park or on pavements unless you consider of getting a 2nd hand bike with reputable brand.
