$1 Xbox One Game: Max The Curse of Brotherhood @ kralo_de2015 eBay

290

Hi fellow Xbox'ers. Was looking for cheap games on eBay for the kids and found this one for $1 buy now. The seller responded within 24hrs and provided a scanned code via eBay mail. The kids are playing the game right now and I'd have to say it's a bargain for a $1. Graphics and storyline are fun and the game play is great for pre-teens.

  • It's not DLC (which normally implies a game add-on). This is a full game.

That's the problem with acronyms, they can mean different things (rightly or wrongly) to different people. I'd venture that in this context, DLC = Download Code…whereas to many of us, DLC often does indeed merely imply additional content.

You should see the problems we have with inconsistent medical acronyms at work! :/

Thanks for the clarification, yes I am oldish and newish to gaming so thought DLC was simply download code. Have updated the title.

  • this isn't "DLC"… this is a full game code… DLC means Downloadable Content and usually implies additional content for a game… some may say I'm nit picking but I only clicked this thinking it may have been DLC for Max… not the game itself ;) :P

    • Updated title thx.

Great deal, but I think many of us already have it via games with gold. But great post!

  • got it with games with gold free better than $1

Thanks, just bought it. Have no idea what it is!

It's a very decent little platform scroller with extremely nice graphics…well worth a buck! ;)

The 360 version is also available from the same seller for $AU1.50 for those who are still rocking their last gen consoles… ;) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Max-the-Curse-of-Brotherhood-Xbox…

  • sold out

  • The guy probably had a bunch of codes from a store he worked at.

    • The development studio was recently shut down. So it's likely a fire sale.

  • Same seller has others listed here but for around 30 cents more for those still interested:

Game was previously free with Gold in June 2014 (according to my account). So maybe worth checking to see if you don't already own it already if you normally collect claim Games with Gold.

  • This game is almost always $1 on ebay, just fyi

  • Just a question, can xbox 360 or xbone game codes be redeemed on the xbox website, or do you have to redeem them on the console?

    • +4

Can be redeemed on the website. You don't even need to own the console.

  • Looks like there might be more stock in different listings under different currencies.

  • Interesting! I have received and redeemed my code through Xbox.com (although yet to download it), but just received this email from eBay:

You were recently involved in a transaction for the following item:
161994593201 - Max the Curse of Brotherhood - Xbox One - Full Game Code - New - Global

We’re writing to let you know that an unauthorized third party may have accessed the seller’s account to list this item. The item has been removed from the site, and the transaction was cancelled…"

So… Compromised account and dodgy codes??

    • I got the same. Redeemed my code fine, but it did divert me to, what appearered to be, the German eBay site. Changed my eBay password just in case.

  • it looks like it is a phishing scam - when you purchase the seller sends you a link to click to access the code. That link is apparently a fake Ebay site and asks you to log in and give your password. Ebay has cancelled all sales and you should request a refund from paypal.

    • That's changed then, as I received a legit eBay email containing a photo of the code.

      • deleted

      • Correction- if you click the image in the email it opens the message on the eBay Germany website (ebay.de) - is that what you got?

        • actually my mistake - if you go to my ebay without clicking on the apparently dodgy link - you can see the code properly. Ebay seems to think the link is phishing but the code does work ok.

        • Thats what i got. Code worked, my eBay or Paypal account haven't been hacked. I looked up the seller and it seems legit, as all he/she seems to sell is codes and vouchers and they appear to be from Germany.

  • Same here.. my code was sent via email message and it worked.
