Found this bargain today. There was no indication it had been reduced, but a quick scan on the price check scanner revealed the $17 price.
As you can see from the pic I attached, this was the normal price and not an override or anything of that nature, so it could be that price statewide, or perhaps even nationwide.

just rang target buranda, they have 5 copies of it. any other ps4 specials on at target?
I scanned almost every PS4 game they had on the shelf at Target Warrawong and found no other significant discount unfortunately.
Big W had a few games on clearance (Dishonoured for $29, Until Dawn for $34), but nothing exceptional imo.
God of war was the most significant price drop last night.

Not a clearance, so u can price match with catalogue.
Although this price isn't unreasonable, EB in Moonee Ponds seem to disagree and tend to only price match if they think it's not low enough (EB in Highpoint are pretty good). JB is a little better (the store inside Highpoint is great), they at least will do it if it's online or in a catalogue (expect the store in Sunshine, the manager there thinks any price from Big W or Target is a pricing error).
Weird. Has it been changed to manager's discretion? It used to be a blanket policy that they had to stick to, and a quick call to the 13number usually gets the decision overturned.
The manager there thinks so, but EB are generally good, just a trend of disgruntled employees for some strange reason, it has nothing to do with them. I gave a quick call to one of the stores, Altona. I asked if they price match? They said yes, unless it's one of those crazy Big W prices. I'll try the 13 number next time if I have problems.

I find the staff at EB always wants to ring a local Target/Big W/JB first to confirm whether they have stock. If Target/Big W/JB don't have it in stock they refuse to price match.
Just picked one up from liverpool westfields NSW. There seems to be 4-6 more copies on the ps4 section with the tag hot price on it. Scanned it with the nearby scanner and showed up $17.
I rang around to a few Victorian stores. Nothing at Melbourne City store or Greensborough.
Try Northland SC, 1 left after I picked up mine.
Still 5 copies on the shelf at Target Shellharbour for anyone interested.
All out most Targets. Took the physical catalog to EB and they matched no questions.
Could not find at Target. Took to BigW and they matched.
EB Games Browns Plains matched no problems. Staff was surprised it was so cheap.
Price matched at Melbourne Central EB no problem.
Tried Melbourne Central EB at 7.30pm just now and they refused to price match because there's no stock at nearby Targets and because the price is too low. Meh.
Its in the catalogue that starts on Thursday. The price must have changed early
