AUD $14.70 inc. postage on eBay

(There's cheaper ones marked "QY8", but they don't have the "QCY" logo on the ad.

I feel like I am nitpicking but I think it's a fake one.
It doesn't say it has APTX support on the written description, slightly worse "talk time" 7 hours on aliexpress one vs 5 hours.
I assume there are fair number of fake ones out there, judging from how they offer serial number to test whether it's an authentic one.

      • You're not nickpicking, it's a fair comment. That said, they could both be fake - how does Ali Express' resolution service compare with eBay?

I think the fact that Aliexpress offers comment section for the product makes it easier to spot fakes.
I personally think it's not a fake given that 1. it's from the superdeal page (24 hours deal page on Aliexpress that's displayed on front page) 2. The vendor has a high feedback score and has been around for 2 years 3. there are 100s of feedback on the product itself.

That said, if it is a fake, Aliexpress does provide 45? 60? days of "buyer protection" (That's what they call it). I did hear mixed results about it (and since I haven't had a chance to use one, fortunately, I have no clue how it works). That said, most vendors are very conscious of feedback scores, they tend to try to resolve your problem (At least, that's what I've seen).

  • Any good? Are they as good as cheetah?

  • just got one delivered. not too bad, lots of functions and easy to wear. the soud quality i judge is better than apple headset. i paid 28 when dollar was low. Definitely a good go if you dont want to pay for big brands.

$24.23 for the black, 22.84 for white on Gearbest http://www.gearbest.com/earphones/pp_183012.html?currency=AU…

I completely forgot to search Gearbest. Yeah, it is cheaper, that said, they are banned on Ozbargain for a reason.
Many people got burnt by them. While I can't guarantee that this vendor wouldn't cause a hassle, it has more feedback at the very least (meaning that at least people did receive them).

  • any good?

I have had a pair for a few months and rate them. Very good and reliable, good sound quality & mic pickup for calls is good too.
My first pair of Bluetooth Headphones.

  • i bought one last month for $31 from an australian seller. sound is good but it sticks out of the ear too much. the main button is on the side so every time you press it, you are pushing the ear tips more into your ear. the flap covering the micro usb port required long nails to pry open

  • Since it's not mine but it was a present for my girlfriend, and since I received the earphone from another vendor on Friday, my brief experience might not be representative of the product. That said, I found it reasonable in my 30 minutes ~ 1 hour tryout. Though since I've not used any other bluetooth headphones, I might be talking highly of this because I've not tried others.

The sound signiture is not exactly what I like (slightly too much bass, that said, I am almost getting the feeling that it might be me who dislikes bass so take it with a pinch of salt) and the quality leaves room for improvement. That said, I think for a bluetooth headphone under $30, it's amazing; I've heard worse from wired one. One thing to keep in mind is, most of the time I used an earphone tip that's better than the one supplied (did it just in case the earphone tip material was awful as it's a present). It blocks fair bit of outside noise as well, which I was very surprised with. That said, it might've been because I've changed the tips around.

Fitting was alright in my opinion. The units are definitely massive. That said, I didn't find it that problematic when I used it while going grocery shopping. Probably because it's light for its size and because of the ear hooks. Again, I think the fact that I've changed the tip helps with the fitting a bit (the tip allows it to go in slightly deeper I think). My opinion of its fitting is mainly from my experience from walking to the shopping centre and doing grocery shopping, if you want it as a sports earphone, I think smaller unit ones would be better.

About pressing the button, I held the unit with my index and middle finger and use my thumb to press the button, so I didn't notice any problems with the button though what bbyboy said probably would happen if you just press it with your thumb without holding the unit. Again, if you use it while doing sports, I can see that it'd be hard to do what I did therefore I think it can be problematic.

Microphone probably can't be used in anywhere with a fair bit of ambient noise, since it's located on the body of the unit, which is fairly far from your mouth.

The build quality is something I'd expect from a $30 earphone. In other words, not that great.

All in all, if you want a bluetooth earphone at this price range, I think this is something I could recommend.

  • Got these on eBay few month ago for just under AU$30 delivered from an Australian vendor. Value for money is hard to beat, use these every day at the gym and really cannot complain. Now and then they pop out of your ear, i found that by using the smaller silicone bit they stay in place better. Battery last 6 hour and recharge quick too.
