To this Lily camera.
Is this real - costs only $699 - cheaper than a quadropter.
Is it available in Australia? Want one.

hope nanny state will not kill the fun and ban on public air space.
Hobbyist/Non-commercial Flight
If you are not making any commercial gain from your flying, then you may fly your UAV without requiring certification (please note however that “commercial gain” can include flights for advertising purposes or even uploading videos to YouTube – there does not have to be a direct payment involved). The following restrictions apply for uncertified flying:
Below 400 ft (120 m)
In uncontrolled (Class G) airspace
More than 3 nm (5.5 km) from an aerodrome or helipad listed on the VTC
More than 30 m away from other people
Not in a Populous Area
Within Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) – this means no FPV unless you have a spotter who can take control at any time
I want one too . I've always worried that I would be as bad with a remote control drone as I used to be with a remote control car and smash a drone into something destroying it in seconds.
Shut up and take my money!!!
@Clear is right. Remember spy drone was used to follow people in Star War movie.
Hmmm their website says $899 usd, I think their pricing is ramping up as release appears imminent
It will be really useful for the CSI team when they investigate dudes that kill themselves base jumping.
I would be interested in how it avoids hitting things like power lines, ski lifts, etc. This thing could quickly find itself illegal if the smarts aren't in it.
Apparently if you notice it's about to hit something you press the button on the transmitter and it hovers. This seems weird when the intent is that the device follows you, if you have to keep your eyes on it continually it is pointless imho. My prediction is that 100% of these will crash and smash within the first battery cycle.
If that is the case my prediction is that the company will be sued out of existance pretty quick smart by people who are hit or the people who own stuff that gets hit.
Read some YouTube commentator say this isn't going ahead.
A YouTube commenter said it? Well it must be true then!
Saw this on Forbes today — Hover Camera — foldable follow-you-around drone.
It's legit and preorders are shipping in September.
Interesting concept, but just existing tech refined. There have been DIY solutions to make drones follow you for years.
