How did you exploit your balance?
I bought an original Xperia Z phone. When it was first launched they were giving away $30 worth of PSN credit as incentive to buy the phone. All it required was an email address, and the android app at the time, recorded your phone ID. With Titanium Backup Pro you could generate a new phone ID, so I generated a number of $30 credit vouchers. I redeemed them all (at that stage there was no $200 limit on the PSN store), so had like $1500 worth of PSN credit. I bought 7? years worth of PS+ sub and let the rest sit. I went back after a month or so, and all the credit was gone.
