  • tried to book Adl-Mel.but cheapest price is still $37. Can OP tell me the dates for $29. thanks

    • Hi Caeza,

The prices on iwantthatflight.com.au include CC fees. However, if you choose to TigerAir then you can avoid the CC fees. So any prices you see that are $37 you can actually buy for $29. (Basically, what macamaca said).

  • $29+$8 credit card

  • Side note, I sent you PM but didn't get response. I wanted to book flights to Kathmandu. I never see specials on Flights. Can you advise what is best time to book flights to kathmandu in terms of sales.

    • Hi DealsOnAustralia,

Sorry for missing your PM. I didn't mean to ignore it, but sometimes I get a lot & I miss them.

Unfortunately I don't know much about flights to Kathmandu. The cheapest fares are with AirAsia, so if you wait for the next sale you should be able to find flights for around $700 (less if you are flying out of Perth).

      • Thanks

Thanks OP. Just booked Coffs Harbour to Melbourne return for $87. What a bargain!

At these prices, it's cheaper for travellers and homeless to fly-at-night, than rent accomadation.

    • I dunno about you, but i prefer sleeping for longer than 3 hours a night…

      • +1

You got a neg for that which I'll fix, but I was going to put Perth<->Sydney/Melbourne. Six hours sleeping time I think, and cheaper than the local motel.
Then there's screaming kiddies, sitting upright, booking months ahead and several other tiny problems, but hey you save $10 p/n.

I get your point, but being pedantic, even the lowest quality backpacker hostel at $10-15 a night would be much more comfortable than a Tiger Airways seat!

  • Anybody knows if I can Jetstar price beat when I have an infant flying with me? Tigerair charges $60 return for infant , while Jetstar doesn't :-(. I'm only flying Melb-Hob return so total of $160 does not seem like a real bargain?…

    • Jetstar should be able to price match and they do not charge for an infant. I have done this previously

      • Thank you! I will check it out then!

    • Yep, I just price matched the other week for our family including a one-year-old. It works out so much cheaper with Jetstar price match minus infant fee etc :)

  • Hi Rep, do you have anything for Sydney to Hong Kong, flying on 08 -09 APR 2016

    • any deal for MLB to Queenstown (NZL)? two to four days will be great. Just want to experience the giant swing.

  • So wanted to book now but my other half is such an idiot. only 2 minutes of decision she's said she's busy…with what? I know what she does for a living…absolutely can spend 2 mins to decide………

Good post, but unfortunately i couldn't take the deal.

  • Hi Rep, any deal for School holidays. Prices are high, almost double from 23rd June. I am looking for Mel to Bris 4 adult and 3 kids.

dates are anytime from 24th June to 10th July

    • any deal for School holidays

      lol

    • Never ever happens. Not within Oz anyway.

I say this every time now but I feel it's a duty.

If you're taking the family to Gold Coast's Wet n Wild you could fly Syd to the Gold Coast for $39 on the 31st of March, while the weather is still warm (or $45 next week). Even though I'm really cheap, I often find people are shocked about how cheap they can normally get tickets for outside school holidays and experience 25 degrees in a couple of weeks (instead of 19 degrees in June) for $40 more each way for a family of 4.

Flights to the tropics in winter/dry season are a bargain (e.g. those $29 tickets to Cairns and Airline Beach we had recently), since a family of four would save $320 each way and travel at the ideal time weather wise.

Of course the mundane places are different (Syd, Bris, Mel).

  • Amazing, Adelaide -> Melbourne return 2 adults + baggage for $145.. good bargain!

  • What dates are the Syd -> Melb, Melb -> Syd flights available at the quoted prices?

  • Does TigerAir give you any baggage options if you have e.g. a small but heavy 50kg DJ speaker system to bring with you? In 4 separate pieces.. I don't see prices listed on the Tiger site.

    • I could be wrong but I don't think they provide special consideration for dense objects. Even sports equipment is limited to 30 kg AND they still charge you the per kilogram rate over 15 kg.

Even Jetstar has a 32 kg limit for any individual piece but is much cheaper for pre-booked weight.

If you have personal luggage as well then a 1-2 day courier is the way to go for Syd-Mel, for example.

      • Thanks mate. No, I have no luggage as such for onboard. So I thought maybe I could take the 7kg speaker on as one piece of hand luggage, and check the rest in. I have 2 x small 7kg boxes (one as hand luggage), and 1 x 17kg box (a ~400mm cube), and a small 20kg 3unit roadcase. So 3 things to check in, which would total about 50 kgs. I'd freight it, but the guy I'm buying it off won't pack it for me, so I have to go pick it up!!! :-(
