  • Target getting out of the Clothing & Homewares game? ;)

I think the website is having a melt down

  • George Foreman Convertible Easy Clean Grill

Good price but turns wagyu beef into corrugated cardboard. This is NOT how to cook a good steak.

    • Its not how you cook a good anything.

      • Squeaky Bubbles go good in George

        • But does it taste better in George then anything else?

          I doubt it.

        • @samfisher5986: yes… when Bubble & Squeak are cooked on a tray in the oven they retain all the fat and are soft and squishy when cooked.
When cooked in George heaps of fat drains out into the drip tray, and they go nice and crunchy on the outside - but not too hard on the inside.

        • @systmworks:

          Fat is tasty.

Fat when crispy is even better.

Perhaps you need to adjust your cooking style for it :-)

If you're doing steak on this thing, you'd need to get it very hot before placing the meat on, sear it then immediately drop the temperate.
That's just my opinion of course and I'm by no means an expert.

I think they're just as good as the cheap LPG kettles, this hot-plate is really good once it gets up and running - but you need to pay special attention to the temperatures and treat it similar to a skillet pan.

I cooked roast lamb, butterflied chicken, beef fillets, veggies and fish on my parents one and for me, the food came out great.
There was a heap of char-grilled 'goodness' on the hotplate that came off really easy with some paper towel when cold.

  • Thanks OP!

Thanks OP - just walked into Target in Brisbane CBD and got the George Foreman grill - heaps on the shelf - the in store tickets had not been updated so it said $79 or something (discounted from RRP) but scanned at $54.

I could have ordered off website, click n collect, and got an extra $3 via cashrewards, but they dont allocate store stock to click n collect - so even if your local store has stock, you still have to wait 2-10 days for the item to ship in from their warehouses for collection. I wanted it today.

  • I bought some shirts during 30% off and now 50% and they still have stock …. oh well …

    • rebuy and return with old receipt :)

      • Already washed ….. :p

        • +5

  • Thanks OP. Shopping for entire family. 18 items under $100 YAY

Never been in an online Queue!

    • -5

you've obviously never used the internet much. plenty of sites place you in queues to reduce the strain on their servers in peak sales times

  • -1

Site is deader than dead. Worked for me after my 55th try. Grabbed 2 drink bottles, a pair of leggings and a tank top for the kids for $9.50 C and C.

Site is down. It has been OZBARGAINED!!!

Worked fine for my paying with PayPal, no queue or delay.
Maybe it's only a queue for credit card payments that they perform?

Check out the care instructions under features for the Pendo TV https://www.target.com.au/p/pendo-5-full-hd-led-tv-pndlfhu5/…
Who has a machine that big?
Bloody cheap price if it isn't a mistake though.

    • Thanks mate, will give it a try!

  • Does anyone know when this clearance ends? I'm hoping to go this weekend!

    • +1

Small print on Target website states: Offer is valid until Saturday 19 March 11:59pm AEDST. So if you go Saturday you may be alright.

  • Got a good selection of baby clothes for a good price. Cheers

  • +1

Worth mentioning it's probably better to check out your local Target store in person because the online store doesn't list all the clearance stuff included in the sale. Just grabbed 4 pairs of these nice jeans for $12.50 each and this really stylish Curtis Stone oil pourer for $14.50 (down from $60) from my local Target store.

Went back later with a bit more patience & picked up a couple of $7.50 long sleeve casual shirts ready for winter & some kids Disney Frozen clothes in various sizes so I can keep the correct sizing & return the wrong sizing. For those requiring new t-shirts, you can't go wrong at $3.50.
