Xiaomi Yi 1080P Full HD 60fps Car Dashcam Wi-Fi DVR US $68.99 (~AU $92) - @ Dealsmachine

batrarobin4

UPDATE: Ok, Dealsmachine have been very cooperative and have matched the price from Gearbest, so order with confidence.

I am back with the Xiaomi dashcam deal and this time managed to get it USD$68.99 with FREE shipping. (100 pcs).

A quality product with the CHEAPEST PRICE SO FAR!!!! Available in stock ready to ship.

To clarify a couple of things before anybody asks:

(1) The interface currently is in Chinese however Xiaomi normally releases English firmwares for Global users after a few months. In the meantime, you could use these snapshots for menu translation:
http://elproducente.com/xiaomi-yi-dashboard-camera/

(2) this model has an inbuilt battery (and not a capacitor), in saying that a lot of users in Australia are still using this model without any issues.

Normal shipping take about 3-4 weeks or you could choose expedited shipping for extra US$7 and they normally use TNT which is superfast and reliable and the items normally arrive within 3-4 working days.

Salient features:

1080p 60fps
ADAS warning system
165 degree Wide view angle
Wifi connectivity

Enjoy guys.

How does this compare to the A118C?

Batteries have been known to cause many issues in days of inclement weather, and some people (including myself) actively avoid dashcams that incorporate a battery for this very purpose.

    • That is a presale..however dealsmachine have confirmed they have stock available.

dont think so, it is just their normal flash sale. I think alot of those Gearbest, Banggood, dealmachine all got done. They had preorders for those going back in November and December before realizing that the firmware is in Chinese only. Alot of those will be excess stock from all the cancellations.

Probably not worth the risk getting anything from gearbest

      • I don't think i would rate one over another, all got stuff lost before. if you want assurance pay the premium shipping

        • +3

Well i guess gearbest is banned here for a reason, their rep is horrible.

Never ordered from dealsmachine before, but they look much more trustworthy.

          Everbuying not so good either

          @bti_jet:

Not sure if this is true, but it appears that everbuying and gearbest are the same company.

I've posted a few everbuying deals recently, although their reputation here is generally better than gearbest, but as you said, it's still not so good from the feedback I've received.

Mi official website does not list this product, does anyone know whether it is copycat?

This is the real deal as the manufacturer is Xiao Yi and they're backed by Xiaomi.

Other Xiao Yi products are found on mi.com here and here. The English site is very empty in comparison to their Chinese site.

      • The deal is car dash camera. These links you provided are sport camera (Gopro style) and CCTV home camera. My question is that there is no info about this dash camera from official MI or Xiaoyi (sub brand or company of MI)website. How come is the third party sell the product under its brand name?

These links you provided are sport camera (Gopro style) and CCTV home camera.

I meant that there are other products from Xiao Yi sold there.

How come is the third party sell the product under its brand name?

Because Xiaomi ONLY make their phones. They either own or have invested in over 20 other companies to manufacture their products under the Mi brand and others. For example, ZMI make their power banks and Huami make their fitness bands.

Most of my sources are in Chinese, but this is detailed enough in English.

    • It is official, but a little difficult to find as it's not officially on the market yet. I can only find them in Chinese.

good deal thanks. you can spend $50 on unknown chinese market brands, or on premium quality Xiaomi for a bit more

  • Edit-delete please, my comment was about action cams.

  • good for aussie heat? dont want my car on fire
