Ah so eBay don't allow selling the credit? That's a shame. Sounds like a pretty good way to get rid of your excess credit!

Was thinking about this last night, is it possible to create a basic Play Store app with nothing but $10/$20/$30 IAPs that you install on your own phone, purchase the IAPs and as the developer receive the cash from Google minus 30%? Effectively cashing out your recharge credit at 70c in the dollar?

Is it against Play Store T&C's to buy your own app? Google would be happy - getting 30% anyway, Telstra wouldn't know?
There is a previous thread where someone promoted their version of this. I disagree with concept, so won't name it, but looking in play store has only 100 downloads in months.

I use a virtual number in a couple of countries via the "hushed" app and I use the credit to extend those numbers, I also use it to purchase books and data packs.
Can someone please explain this? How can we use credit on other than calls/SMS/data?

When you go into Google Play Store, after you make a purchase, you should see an option for the Payment Method… "Bill my Telstra Account". It will deduct your purchase from your prepaid credit. Simple as that. This become very useful when the Telstra $30 prepaid pack is on sale (50% off, when Coles or Woolworth has $30 pack at $5), this means for $5, you have $30 Google Credit.

I want to used one of my starter packs on the long life offer, will I still be able to use the credit for google play?If you have the $30 starter pack, the credit is available. However, sometimes it takes up to 2 days from activation for the credit to work. So be patient a little.
If you use your $30 starter pack in a product such as 'Telstra 4G My Pocket Wifi', you get 3gb of data and $30 credit. Is there a way to use this credit in Google Play Store ? Thanks.
Put the sim into an Android device and bill in Play store from there. Then put back into your pocket wifi.
Windows Phone device works too to buy Windows Phone apps.
I used to sell excess credit on eBay through me2u, but eBay have been cracking down hard on it lately. Now I just spend it on Google Play.
