$6.10 here also available on the white pair which are showing $7.48 at Geekbuying. I would gladly pay the extra 16 cents but I'm not sure if I trust the 2-7 days delivery lol.

  • +2

I really like the products Xiaomi do. The price is excellent. I haven't tried the Piston III Dazzle but I just purchased and received these and they are brilliant for the price.
    http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Original-Xiaomi-Mi-IV-In-ear-…
They really surprised me with the sound quality. Highly recommended. I know they cost a lot more, but they are still better and cheaper than what I have found locally. Geekbuying were a bit faster to get to here than some of the other Chinese suppliers BTW, but not that fast.

    • +1

Yeah, totally agree. Phenomenal quality for the price.

    • The Piston line is discontinued and this is what came next. They'll only get better in the future.

      • +1

I have all their earphones to date, they all sound a little different and when on sale are a bargain.
I've gifted out a few sets, all positive feedback.

  • Normally ships in 2 - 7 days

That's just to ship, from their shipping guide, delivery will take:

Australia, New Zealand, Singapore 5-11 business days

So that's 7-18 business days to deliver to your door in Australia.

    • That's actually the processing time as it says "normally ships in". Free shipping typically takes between 15-30 days and typically takes 2-3 weeks for most people.

      • Thanks for the clarification, I just didn't want people getting their hopes up with the 2-7 days quote.

Bought a few, and a ROIDMI Bluetooth transmitter

  • +2

    Thanks bought 3

    • +1

      same. good gift.

  • +1

Ooh these will really put the razzle in my dazzle

  • I have this. It's great for the price. Bass is there.

  • Are these proper ones? what does dazzle edition mean?

    • +1

They are proper as and will dazzle you.

      • so they are the kids edition and are made with inferior parts. Glad i didnt listen to you

        • That makes 2 of us! $6 headphones? Made with inferior parts, well, I never!

    • +1

They're the Piston 3 Youth Edition. The design of them is different and materials used are inferior but they're still very good quality and sound the same.

    • +2

I grabbed 2 of these last sale, and have the original Xiaomi 3 also. The differences I noticed were:

      Xiaomi 3 Dazzle:
      - Flat rubber cable
      - Plastic back of headphone and conectors
      - play / pause controls
      - plastic

      Xiaomi 3
      - Braided cable
      - Brushed aluminium at the back of the headphone and connector
      - Volume, play pause controls

Sound quality is the same. The dazzles were great for the price. The links below show the differences also.

Bought 8 pairs for the family, we're from Tassie.

    • +4

      really? 8 pairs? Tasmania?

    • +3

      Nice, enough for 4 people

      • +1

        damn dude, made me lol

      • +2

        Yep, you got it ;)

  • +1

Great price, but how come they make an earphone that does not fully support iPhone or Android? I've been trying to find some Pistons or equivalent with buttons that work on the iPhone. (First post - please delete if off topic. Sorry.)

    • +2

      They support Android fine.
The way the buttons work differs between Android and Apple, easier to make them for Android as its a larger market (esp for their target market).

  • If they're the same as the Piston 3s then why doesn't volume control and changing tracks work? My v3 recently stopped working due to wax clogging (I cleaned it out and they're working again) but looking for a backup pair - but if they're just headphones, not a proper headset, then I'm not interested and will get another pair of Piston 3 instead.

    • They're a ~$6 set of earphones, you get a lot for your money, but the mic is a weak point of their old designs.

Spend more and get the new ones if you want better quality.

I'm going to be happy in 2 months when these arrives. I love random presents from the past.

Just because I need headphones, I ordered one from each site. Lets see who arrives first!

    • yeh i bought from tinydeal too…..still waiting too :P

    • I've always found that Airmail and Registered Airmail arrive in the same time. The only difference is that the latter includes a tracking number.

    • +1

I did the same. See how long the difference between each other is. The one that arrive first will be prefered next time :)

    • I have to wait nearly 5-6 weeks from tinydeal last time to deliver

    • Same thought re arrival time of the two. Will you be able to post an update on this?
I am keen to know and intend to post when my geek buying arrives, Hope the others do so as well.

      • If I remember in 2 months, sure!

      • +1

        White ones arrived first.

        So Tiny Deal wins!

        • Right. Mine has not arrived from geek buying to date.

  • Are they comfortable to wear?

    • +3

I can't seem to get them to stay in my ears no matter which size I use. I must have strange shaped ears. Might have to go back to the traditional in ear buds.

Sound quality is really good for the price though, really wish I could use them.

  • Fyi, you can skip to next song by double pressing then holding the second press on Android.

//edit: Can go forward but not back

  • Purchase from here or TinyDeal? In terms of shipping.

  • Bought these from another deal a while ago. While good for its price, I'll best describe and rate it as one step above the apple earphones. Still good deal

  • +2

Am I the only one who hates these insert earphones?

    • Nope, I think there are a lot of us with ear canals that are too narrow, or find them too uncomfortable. You definitely aren't alone.

I'm buying some for my kids, who seem to have no problems with them. I wish I could find some good inexpensive earbuds for me though!

      • you can try using these headphones but use some custom tips? I know a few people who also say they have a hard time getting these to fit and the problem is they usually use a too large tip.

        you can try either
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10Pcs-Clear-Soft-Silicone-In-Ear-…
which typically have a smaller "point" for you to jam it in your ear

        or foam tips
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-Pairs-Earbuds-Headphones-Memory…

which fit kinda like standard earplugs.

        • Thank for the ideas, but I've already tried those. I bought some Brainwavz R1 iems a while back, and they had a bag of tips that included some very similar tips to the ones you linked to.

Even normal ear plugs become uncomfortable after an hour for me. I looked into getting some outer-ear plugs made by a hearing-aid practitioner, the same sort used with the behind-the-ear hearing aids, but the cost of about $250 put me off.

Now I just use over-ear cans, and while they get uncomfortably hot in Brisbane during summertime, it looks like they're the best compromise for me. Earbuds (i.e. they don't insert into the ear canal) would be wonderful, if I could find some with good audio quality that are under ~$50.

        • +1

          @Russ:
yeh if you tried that - then nothing much you can do then.

best "old fashioned" earbuds for around/under $50 are apparently "yuin pk3"
did a quick search though and they are apparently a lot harder to find than the last search i did years ago.

        • @voter1:

Thanks, I'd not heard of that brand. I'll have a dig around.

        • @voter1: yeah I have this yuin pk3. Quite nice earbud and comfortable to wear. Bought nealy $50. If you want to spend more, should definitely try pk1

  • Damn. Out of stock.

    • other colours are available!!

      • $7.8 though, while white being $7.5.

  • Bought one and get delivered. Not really like inear headphone because dont know how to wear it properly. Often fall out ear. Quite annoying

  • up to 5 weeks now …. and no headphones?

    is this normal??

    • When did you order?

      • oops confusions….wrong xiaomi dazzle thread…i bought from tinydeal lol :P

        • Makes sense.

        • @Clear: which bit…? me being confused or tinydeal taking ages? :P

        • @franco cozzo: Tinydeal taking ages.
