No. The camera won't line up with the air 2 case, nor will the mute switch.
Camera issue can be fixed with a cheap drill driver, won't make the case any uglier because this is the ugliest case I've seen.

It's not a case it's a shell so I don't know how it can be ugly, maybe you're talking about the ugly ipad in the shell

doesn't protect screen at all - only edges.
I have the logitek protective case (the model above the one being promoted here). I can't recommend it enough. It is heavy and it isn't the prettiest but I didn't care as it's more protective than anything I've ever seen.
I would opt for the protective case over the shell as the flap that covers the screen also doubles as a great stand.
If you can't resist the shell, get a glass screen cover as the screen will be slightly recessed. The glass raises the screen by .03mm (noticeable)
