Too much maths for the people at good guys to work out.

  • Who do you submit the claim to?…the good guys?…surely they will just turn around and say ebay sales not included…If this works than this is the bargain of the year.

    • Looks like a MOD changed the post about the 120% 30 day deal. You were right about the deal not working on Ebay

      • +1

Are you saying that my price beat claim will be rejected because I bought it through their ebay store? Their docket I have says nothing about it being an ebay sale, just a normal docket.

Their online price beat claim for has me take a photo of the invoice, a URl of he competitors price and an address for them to post me the gift card.

        • -1

I'm sure they will look up the invoice number to verify it's real and then they will realise the sale came from ebay.

        • @Expon: Please post facts not speculation.

        • -1

@pmupsinep: ok if you think a business isn't going to try and get out of paying $200 you can keep living in your fantasy world of free money. I guess you're right, that's why the deal got changed….

        • I second OP. Picked up $5000 worth of stuff yesterday it's just a standard goodguys reciept with full prices.

        • @CozmerkIsenberg:

          Update for everyone.

I ended up pay $991.40 for this unit.

          $1749 - 20% = $1399.

          Fujitsu giving me $200 = $1199

Just got an email from Good Guys saying they are sending me a gift cars for the price promise.

          $1749 - $1576 = $173
          $173 x 120% = 207.6

          $1199 - $207.6 = $991.4

    • The $200 visa claim is made through Fujitsu - T&Cs. No mention of ebay or purchase method, as long as $0 balance owing.

    • Where's my medal haha?

      Update for everyone.

I ended up pay $991.40 for this unit.

      $1749 - 20% = $1399.

      Fujitsu giving me $200 = $1199

Just got an email from Good Guys saying they are sending me a gift cars for the price promise.

      $1749 - $1576 = $173
      $173 x 120% = 207.6

      $1199 - $207.6 = $991.4

I think that model is also eligible for the QLD Energex Peak Smart $200 cash back offer as well: https://www.energex.com.au/residential-and-business/positive…

    • +1

Yep, that makes this air con $1000 + Installation after all rebates/cash backs in SE QLD.
$200 cheaper than what I got it for! Nice!
I guess that's normal after summer is over.

  • The Good Guys arent doing any maths. These extra are outside of Good Guys.

Is this air con unit any good compared to other brands in the 7kw range?

  • I just ordered the Panasonic version of this. I believe the Fujitsu is better however this unit was a touch cheqper

    • FYI - it looks like the Panasonic gift card promo doesn't work for online or Ebay purchases, see T&C text: "Purchases of Eligible Products must be made at a participating Panasonic retailer or Panasonic Specialist Air Network dealer / installer. Online purchases (including purchases via eBay) are not eligible. Claimants must have fully paid for the Eligible Product before they are eligible to submit a claim."

  • We had two splits die within a period of a month, so this was sale and cashback was fortuitous timing.

Went into store to the Good Guys and Harvey Norman to see if they were willing to do a deal if we bought two. Good Guys would go down to $1635 and Harvey Norman reckoned they were below cost already at $1749 so wouldn't budge.

So to get these at $1400, and then another $200 back is an astonishingly good deal.

    • I dare say you could have got them in store to beat Appliance Online's price, then got a gift card from Fujitsu.

Cheers op. 7 was too big for me but the 5 i thought was still a good deal so i picked that up instead.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Fujitsu-C5-0kW-H6-0kW-Reverse…

    sub $1k im happy with.

    dont forget cash rewards.

    • A pair of 5kws can be a great option if you have 100 to 140m2 to condition. They have a better eer and more efficient than a 7.0kw. The head is usually the same size as the 7.0kw.

  • I got this a year ago when the exact same deal was on. It has been great so far. Cost $600 to install since we needed a separate electrical circuit installed. You cannot just run these larger ones off an existing circuit.

    • is that back to back installation or not ?

      very cheap if not.

i see you in melbourne. can you give me your installer name ? planning to install one too.

      thanks.

      • Im getting Marsh Tech to do mine. He quoted $1300 to install the 2.5kw back to back, decomission our old 7kw, take it away, install the new 7kw in a different location with new electrical connection, run cable and mount on other side of the house, install a new powerpoint in the kitchen and a sensor light in our pantry.

      • Back to back. I am not in Melbourne anymore sorry. Just forgot to change my profile.

  • Awesome deal.

                         🐜

  • Anyone got problem to claim the cash back. I bought the 7.1kw indoor heating & cooling for TGG ebay and trying to claim cash back but I am not able to locate my model number as Fujitsu cash back website only show outdoor models and none of Indoor model can be selected from their filter list.

    • You get two separate boxes with the air con; a small (indoor) unit and the heavy (outdoor) unit. Find the one with the 24KMCA an select it.

  • OMG price went up to $1849?!!! i was just about to buy 3…

    • In that case, you could do this. Go into the store and buy them. Then go back later and show them the Appliance Online price, they will give you 120% of the price difference back. This means you won't get the 20% Ebay special, but you will get the unit at a similar price.

Alternatively, you could show them the Appliance Online Price and get them to knock the price down to $1520ish

I've just noticed a mod has deleted my Appliance Online price match link…….. Thanks $1576

      Good Guys Price $1849 http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/fujitsu-c71kw-h80kw-reverse-cy…

      $1849 - $1576 = $273

      120% price promise

      $273 x 120% = $327.60

      • That link to Appliances online is now $1749 so no more price matching.

        • Damn, missed out then.

          Update for everyone.

I ended up pay $991.40 for this unit.

          $1749 - 20% = $1399.

          Fujitsu giving me $200 = $1199

Just got an email from Good Guys saying they are sending me a gift cars for the price promise.

          $1749 - $1576 = $173
          $173 x 120% = 207.6

          $1199 - $207.6 = $991.4

        • WOW awesome work!!!

  • They've dropped the price back down again to $1749.

Ebay sent an email notification about it. Also stating only 200 units available at this price !!!

So if I was the one purchaser at $1849 I'd be a little annoyed….

  • What proof of payment will you upload? is tax invoice enough to proof the purchase? coz they require tax invoice + proof of payment. should we upload the paypal transaction receipt but the price shows differently to The Good guys tax invoice.

    • For the Fujitsu money back i did the paypal transaction.

For the price beat, i didnt even mention the ebay discount.

  • Thank you ! 2jzzzz

    Update for everyone.

  • any ideas what kind of wall socket this thing is using? it is the 20A type?

    • My installer said that there isnt a wall socket isolator thing any more, they have to all go to the fusebox.
