So I need to transfer my Citibank points in the next few days. As a member I was planning on Velocity but KrisFlyer seems to be a popular with travellers.
KrisFlyer or Velocity and why? Thank you.

True, but with the exception of domestic flights, I don't have a preference. Virgin and Singapore fly to similar destinations internationally.
Personally, I prefer KF due to the award availability SQ assigns to their own FF members. However, there are better earning opportunities for Velocity in Australia, so really, it does come down to whether you value flying with SQ.
really depends on number of points. Less points go with velocity which can be redeemed on domestic flights.
Krisflyer points are generally worth more for redemptions to Europe/Asia (assuming same number of points) and generally has better availability. Virgin can book through Etihad for Europe but requires a bit more points.
Virgin's reset policy on points is nicer than Krisflyer if you're not planning to redeem within the next year or so.
Can create accounts with both and see what points are required for free.
Krisflyer is better for international redemptions.
Points can expire, but if they do, just take the 25% hit and transfer them to Velocity.
Wouldn't that depend on which airline(s) you want to redeem with?
