HN has this model for $899 (although it says "Major" on their site I don't think it is the Major)

This model has the medium speed port. From the Kenwood site:
"The medium speed outlet is unique to the Kenwood Titanium Chef and Major and the Cooking Chef. You'll find it in the centre on top of the head of the machine and is used to run the versatile food processor attachment."

  • Great price especially since it's 1400W

    • Dofference between this and the major that was 399 a couple days ago??
The KMM770 isn't on the web site anymore.

      • I bought this rather than the earlier deal because this has a more powerful motor (1400W rather than 1200W) and it has more attachments available, particularly the food processor attachment which I am planning on getting.

        • yeah but compare the specs KMM770 Capacity - dough :2.4kg vs Capacity - dough :2.2kg

KMM770 Bowl size (total):6.7 litres vs Bowl size (total):4.6 litres

and no blender, both have the mincer attachment

        • @frugal hermit:
Treating the wife to a quality kitchen machine.
          I'm thinking the major model.

          Comes with blender as well.
200grams and 2.1 litres prob not going to make much difference.

I think the major also had that middle/medium speed attachment???

        • @albanyson: no middle is the titanium only

  • KMM770 deal still on and better imo as you also get the blender https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/238067

  • The KMC 015 is a glass bowl 1400w
The KMC 510 also 499 (399 on TGG Ebay sale) has a stainless bowl and 1000w motor no medium speed connection

    • The KMC510 is a regular chef model (rather than a titanium model). RRP for the 510 is only $649, whereas RRP for this titanium 015 is $999.

But I'm probably going to go with the KMM770 from the other deal, because of the included blender and larger bowl. (I didn't have any interest in the blender at first, until I read that it's made of borosilicate glass and apparently safe for hot soup :)

      • Noticed also no medium speed connection on the KMM770 Model either.

        • Yes, only the titanium models seem to have that feature.
