1) Kenwood Premier Major 1200W Food Mixer 1200W $399.20 with code (Myer's Price $799)

Great Kenwood mixer at 1200W that has been discontinued (hence the discount). The bowl capacity is 6.7l and is perfect if you intend to make bread/pizza dough. This price is absolutely unbeatable as the new models are at least $800. I just collected mine and am very happy with the value. Comes with attachments like a meat grinder and glass blender, but no folding tool and timer (which the newer models have). It is a big box around 15kg.

2) Kenwood Prospero 900W Food Mixer $159.20 with code

RRP is $279. Mixed reviews.

Don't forget cash rewards! Cheers.

That is a cracking price for the Major.

  • Any good food processor deals?

    • I don't know much about food processors to recommend any deals unfortunately! I use my nutribullet to chop things, afraid that's not much help.

    • There's a $59 one at TGG with 20% off from the eBay promotion, bringing the total to about $47. Haven't used it but it looks OK?

  • Great price, we paid $500 a couple of years back and it's been great. We use it at least 3 times a week on average.

    • What do you use it for?

      • +1

Mixing things obviously :P Cakes, biscuit/cookie dough etc.

Blender for soup, milkshakes/smoothies, and as a food processor (although it doesn't work too well for that).

Dough hook to make bread, pizza dough.

Whisk for beating eggs and whipping cream.

And other miscellaneous things I can't think of right now :P

        • Just bought one as well, as I just purchased a house so need a whole bunch of new appliances lol.

Have you by any chance used/got this attachment?

          http://www.kenwoodworld.com/en-au/products/kitchen-machines/…

If so, do you know if it's any good?

        • @sp3tsnaz: don't have one, sorry. The only attachment we've used is the glass blender which seems pretty good. Ours came with a meat grinder and ice cream maker, but we buy ice cream and don't eat meat so haven't had use for those :P

    VERY good price.
We've been very happy with ours, and got it for a great price (not near this, though!).

I read MANNNNY reviews, comments, threads, everything… before deciding on this model.

    • Hi, does the top of your machine shake when using the dough hook and making dough?

      • Sorry, I don't know… Haven't used it. We're always using the K attachment, and the rubber-edged one. Got a mincer, too… but haven't used that yet! Forever meaning to buy clearance steak, to mince. Gotta be safer, and cheaper than prepped mince, and good enough to be "heart smart".

  • The kenwood webpage says the KM770 is no longer available.

    Is it a clearance item?

Trying to decide between the kenwood chef premier or the major…..
    Any advice or help please

    • Guess it depends on what your using it for.
The Major bowl is 2 ltr larger with a slightly smaller motor.
It might be a superseded model but most retailers are still selling it.
Just bought one myself and also got the AT340 attachment from Amazon UK for $143 AU delivered, compared to local ebay $208.

    • It's discontinued

  • Has anyone tried their machine with a dough hook? Mine shakes. Not sure if j is normal.

    • Yep, made some hot cross buns :)
      Didn't shake on speed 1

      • I see. Not sure if mine is a lemon but at speed 1 and 500g of dough it shaked.

Glad you're in the Easter spirit. Might do a batch of hot cross buns too :)
