  • is this a 2016 model?

    • +1

      No, 2015 model.
2016 models haven't been released yet (likely in April).

  • With 3D?

Bought one, and was just about to post after setting it up and giving it a test run.

    Awesome price for 4k 200Hz.

According to CNET it is the same as the ju7100 from the US market.

And rates very well on RTINGS.

It is actually a 100hz tv, not sure why it is advertised as 200hz, samsung only claim it has a "200 motion rate" which is their soap opera effect feature, but retailers are wrongly interpreting that as meaning the tv is 200hz when it is in fact only 100hz! Retailers have messed up big time with this false advertising. More info: http://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/fake-refresh-rates-samsung-cl…

Going by this there is no 2015 (any brand) tvs that are true 200hz

        • +1

          Correct

Thx Trance. That's what you get for only doing cursory research. Not happy that it's been falsely advertised.

But at the price I got it for I'm still quite happy with the TV overall.

  • I have this TV. Cannot fault it so far.

  • Upscaling standard free to air TV? How does it fare?

Amazing price. If the new ones are coming in April or thereabouts, could the price drop further?

BEFORE YOU BUY: Please be aware retailers have completely messed up on their advertised samsung refresh rates for 4k tv's, this "200hz" tv has a real refresh rate of 100hz, and the samsung JU6400 which is advertised as "100hz" is actually 50hz. Retailers are wrongly assuming samsung's "motion rate" spec is the refresh rate, which is false. Samsung is being falsely advertised for all of their 4k tv's. Though Sony and LG have their real refresh rates advertised. More info: http://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/fake-refresh-rates-samsung-cl…

  • How's this compare to the cheaper 6400 model? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-UA65JU6400W-65-165cm-…

Don't mind forking out extra but not if the difference is negligible as one review said…

  • Samsung UA65JU7500 65" a better option, was under 3k at xmas.

The price is actually AU $2,790.40 after discount not $2636

  • The one from Good guys have a "W" (UA65JU7000W) while the one from Bing Lee (JU7000) doesn't.

    Does this matter?

  • +1

Good Guys have just reduced this to $3195 and still giving discount.

    • Wish they'd make up their mind.

    • +1

I paid $83 too much from Bing Lee :-(

  • I was just in a store looking at it when they reduced it, apparently it was to price match another retailers deal.

  • What is the chance of getting a refund from Bing Lee?

    • I spose if you where to pick one up from TGG you'd be saving the $83 but they charge postage if you need it delivered where as Bing Lee doesn't charge. Still a great deal either way.

      • +1

Bing Lee charged $40 for postage
