Hi Ozbargainers!
I am looking to rent this shop for a café business. I have inspected this shop but the floor produces squeaky sound with almost very footstep. The floor is carpeted and am planning to remove the carpet to replace it with vinyl floorboard. It is about 40 square metre, but I am concern how much work and cost will involved in renovating the shop’s floor. Does anyone know what are the possible causes for the squeaky floor and how to fix it? If you have any good renovator to recommend in Sydney, please do share as well. Thanks.
The floorboards under the carpet are old and have loosened the nails holding them.
You can punch down the nails yourself to sort it out, or get a labourer to do it.
Unless it was a real problem, I would probably ignore it.
