Sam does seem to live up to his claim that
he gives you more Kg steel for your money.76Kg/$250
vs
66Kg/$191Maths fail. Sam is 304 grams per dollar, whilst United is 345 grams per dollar. So that ain't better value, it's over 10% worse.
Weight is irrelevant anyway, it's all in the design.
Comparison videos on that United site are bogus. Not comparing apples with apples, and not testing with equal "weight" on the cross beam. Plus they "test" the beam sideways which not in any way relevant to the actual loads.
the OP should state what size these are in the main post
Height 2.0 M
Depth 0.5 M
Width 1.5 MThe 2m wide one is better value at $133 but maybe out of stock
http://www.unitedstorage.com.au/epages/shop.sf/en_AU/?Object…However, all these 500mm deep "light duty" shelves are pretty poxy. Only 100kg (static weight) per shelf is bugger all.
I bought a heap of 600mm deep units rated 200kg per shelf, as they are far more sturdy. I got mine from a Ebay seller in Sydney, but the Op's deal has the heavy duty ones at good prices.
OP, will the 2m wide version for $131 be the same price and free delivery when it's back in stock?
http://www.unitedstorage.com.au/epages/shop.sf/en_AU/?Object…Yes, I would imagine so.
Quite good special prices I think.
I bought from Sams Storage a couple of months ago…
