  • Really good price for the gtx970

  • +6

Could not help myself - jumped on the 980Ti.
Managed not to buy two through right…

    • +1

That's the spirit! I'm tempted but I already have a 970. I want some extra power for VR though

      • I'm jumping from a pair of 680/2b, for no good reason because I no longer play games……
I'll do you a deal, how much would you pay to swap your 970 for a 980ti hheheheh

        • Why would you upgrade?!

          Best I'd do is $300

  • Time to upgrade that Sapphire Vapor-X 7950 with the 970? Hmmmmmm.

    • +8

Probably better off waiting for this year's new cards, rumoured to be a april-may release

      • +2

        Yep, Pascal FTW

        • +7

          you spelled Polaris wrong.

  • +2

Was literally looking at this exact card on BH Photo 20 minutes ago. I friggin' love this site. Unexpire the code and take my money dammit!

  • -1

I'd recommend checking the prices out elsewhere as it doesn't appear to be that great. For example that R9 390X is $526 here but $515 on PC Case Gear.

    • +5

You're comparing the 390X to the 390. The MSI 390X is $589 on PCCG.

      • My bad. Didn't notice the one I was looking at was missing the X.

  • the deal is live! just bought the 970 before kogan jacks up their prices.

    • I got to Paypal (with discount applied) only for it to tell me the code is invalid again.

      • Yep, same here.

        • +3

It's out of stock - they had 3 available. Shouldn't be surprised I suppose, I've come to expect dodginess when dealing with Kogan.

  • Was thinking of waiting for Pascal, but so tempted to get the 970 at this price.

    • Yeah i was holding off for the Pascal to be released so i can grab these cards for slightly cheaper. Doubt the 970 will drop to this price again for a while though.

  • +1

Looks like there is one left here (970)
    http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/EVGA-GeForce-GTX970-4GB-FTW-Version…

Edit: sorry is the code just not working?

    • +1

      $410 delivered on eBay

    • That's a different card (it's the FTW version, not sure what the difference is)…

      • -1

        Think it's better.

        • It's got a faster factory OC speed,
          1050 MHz / 1178 MHz vs 1216 MHz / 1367 MHz

Yes better but worth the extra $40 dollars is arguable no stock left of the cheaper option which can be OC to the same speeds.

  • Is EVGA the one with a global warranty or was that MSI?

    • EVGA is global

  • still no stock so im guessing they are going to come back with jacked up prices

  • So when the prices are up, and deal is back on, one can complain to accc regarding price hike and advertised discount if all these don't match?

I'm so keen for a sub $400 AUD 970 that I could…. buy from kogan even!

Ps my understanding is also that the evga has international warranty.

  • The code appears to work now however the landing page + T&C conditions are not active. Use at your own risk.

  • my order still hasn't been shipped out yet :(

    • After how long?

      • I bought it yesterday morning.. usually they ship it out right away

  • Any chance Kogan will add more stock? Havent dealt with Kogan eBay before so not sure how their restocking is like. Keen on 980Ti but all gone =[

  • They have added more video cards, a few 980 TI's and 970's.
Looks like its almost a month for shipping though…
I want to order the MSI Gaming 970 for the wifes PC but I don't want to wait 3 weeks!

    • I dont see any new 980Ti listing, evga 980Ti still at 5 sold as of yesterday =(

      • They have the MSI 980 Ti available

        • +1

MSI 980Ti has always been there, priced way over evga and not as good, that's why it's still in stock

        • @Crushader:

Apologies for getting your hopes up, noone mentioned the other cards available in this thread and the 970's are still quite a good deal.
While not as good deal as the EVGA was, its still a good card for cheaper than any retailer in Australia.
I think the reason its still in stock is because Pascal is imminent.

        • @h0mbre:

Yeh, sadly i prefer EVGA for their customer service and it has good ratings for quality and build. Don't want my card to sag like Asus and MSY

    • Where did you get the 3 weeks delivery time estimate from?

      • When you add to cart it will give you an estimate.
I've ordered from Kogan ebay before and it was even longer than the ebay estimate.

  • YES!, EVGA 980Ti 6GB is back, only 2 units and I bought one, hurry peeps!

  • Back in stock on both EVGA nvidia cards again.

  • sheesh they are worse than catch of the day as far as stock gos.

  • FYI Anyone who purchased the evga cards they are grey market imports as obviously shown by location of item that means they do not have any consumer right warranty you only get the 1 year warranty provided by kogan also evga do not offer the full 3 year warranty for cards purchased from kogan hong kong i purchased a evga 980 in june last year and made sure i contacted evga who notified me my card would not have a full 3 year warranty just a heads up..

    • I thought the difference is that for people who lost their invoice or people who bought the card from unauthorized resellers the warranty start date will be the date EVGA ship the card out instead of the purchase date.

  • anyone tried to redeem their free game code from EVGA yet?

It says "For residents of the United States or Canada only." :(

    • The game code came in the box?

      • nope

    • Still waiting for the card to arrive =[… from what i gathered you gotta register your card on EVGA, then they will send you the code

      • I just got my card this morning. I registered my card and all but thats about it.. guess i'll wait a bit to see if they send a code.

        • +1

Here's the link if anyone wonder:

          http://au.evga.com/articles/00983/The-Division/

        • @Crushader:

Register the card with the link above, will need to upload the invoice. Just take a screenshot of the ebay invoice. Once it's approved the code will be displayed in the link, uploaded my invoice this afternoon got the code this evening.

          Enter the code in -
          https://redeem.nvidia.com/en-au/

Finally you need to install the uplay application and it will appear in your games. Downloading atm 32.5 GB's!
Absolute pain to get the free game.

        • @Reckin:

Awesome, thanks for the tip! Never claimed a game with NVIDIA before, I've already got Gold Edition of The Division, gonna give this to a mate to join me =]

        • @Reckin: just wondering did you get your card from kogan and evga?

        • @arkn1:

Bought the card from kogan thru Ebay, but you need to get the coupon for the game thru evga. Then finally use that code to nvidia, full details in my previous post.
