20% off Matcha Maiden, 70g Matcha Green Tea Powder $19.95 + Free Shipping @ Chief Active

50

Hi all,

We have an exclusive deal on Matcha Maiden 70g Mix N Matcha Green Tea Powder for a limited time. You won't find a better deal on Matcha Maiden's Mix N Matcha right now.

Why buy Matcha:
With up to 137 x the antioxidants of regular green leaf tea, Matcha is stone ground meaning you're ingesting the entire leaf, not just the water the tea sits in. It's also very versatile as it blends into anything you want to add that green tea flavour. Matcha is also great for increasing your focus and boosting your metabolism, as well as being packed full of minerals and natural body detoxing properties.

What makes Matcha Maiden different:
Matcha Maiden is an Australian start up based in Melbourne and sources a very high grade of Matcha from Kyoto, Japan that has been Japanese Certified Organic. It blends easily into hot water, smoothies, lattes and treats and there is no need for a whisk like many other Matcha brands require.

This is the first deal on our health and fitness site, Chief Active, and we look forward to bringing you lots of exciting products in the future!

  • With 137 x the antioxidants of regular green leaf tea

This is grossly overexaggerated. While it does have higher concentrations of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) than regular green tea, the figure is closer to 3 times the amount.

If you ingested 137 times the amount of EGCG that is in regular green tea, you'd probably be quite ill.

Good price for this stuff though!

    • Thanks for your comment! We'd love to read some more, can you share the links?

      • The 137x quote is from one study which compared one particular brand of matcha to one particular brand of green tea (Tazo China Green Tips).

        • +1

          That's marketing for you

  • Great deal, thanks OP.

  • It's worth noting that while this is a reasonable price for matcha, you would be far better buying it in large packs and storing in an airtight container for use. 70g is enough for about 17 cups, 4g (1 level teaspoon) for 120 to 240cc.

You can buy 1kg pack (250cups) for ~$65 inc. shipping, eg. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/121527618241?limghlpsr=true&…
though you should try it first, in a smaller packet like the 70g to see if you like the taste.

    • Like anything, buying in bulk is always cheaper and like you said, $65 a pretty big investment for something you may have never tried or don't use that regularly, but yes, it's certainly better value if price is your main indicator. Just to point out, Matcha Maiden is Japanese Certified Organic and is a quality product. Not all matcha's are created equal after all :)
