      yes Caitlyn

  • I don't like the taste because they make weak coffee. They might put half the amount of coffee to make one cup.

  • a bit of irony coming from 'Donut King'

If this offer was targeted exclusively towards men, just watch and wait for the femenazis to come out of the woodwork.

But no, this is marked as ladies only, so nothing wrong with that. People might also say that this is a minor deal for coffee, but it's the ideology behind exclusive and discriminatory events like this, that act as a precedent for gender equality (and inequality) issues.

Apparently people want gender equality. Well, this isn't it.

    • You've thought a latte about this, haven't you? Just had to espresso your opinion?

I agree with your comment about double standards, but it's also complicated.

On one hand, I'm disgusted the police force have dropped fitness checks so women can get in because running and strength aren't required to apprehend criminals and because many women could not achieve stamina or strength benchmarks (eg. A hand grip of 32kg was not possible by most female applicants). The notion that some jobs must have 50% women is sexist, it's hiring based on gender, which is discriminatory. Also, the media does not call for a minimum of 50% men in any job (eg. Teaching) - which is an obvious double standard.

I really don't want to live in a world where equality mandates the percentages of people who are forced to be in a career (eg. I was on a school camp where 8 girls and 0 boys were knitting - should we humiliate/bully one gender group until there is equal representation on knitting - or were the girls forced to knit or is it just reality that people do what they like and it may be different for boys and girls sometimes).

Unfortunately, you are right that there is a double standard today. Media and law makers seem to have double standards on gender and they believe that equality must mean 50% is forced, even if the number of applicants don't reflect it.

Also, try not to use the term feminazi or other name calling. While I find feminism to be a sexist, inconsistent and dishonest group, general name calling won't help. I'd argue it undermines your otherwise valid complaint about double standards.

I'm modding down the deal for unnecessary discrimination.

I get the feeling 'two long blacks' will be a popular order tomorrow…
