Another month, new ATM vouchers. The ATM will charge you $1 for a balance enquiry and $2.50 for a withdrawal. However, you should have a debit card that gives you free ATM use via an instant rebate. This is available to ING Direct card holders (amongst others). Coles MasterCard holders can make a balance enquiry for free.

At the end of your transaction you get the option to choose from four vouchers. My pick this month is the free Coles Prepaid $2 SIM. The 30c coffee and $1.50 hot chocolate are still available. You can also get a voucher for a Twirl Mint 39g for $1.

Coles Prepaid uses the Optus 4G network. The SIM is triple fit, so at the very least you get a free adaptor. It doesn't come with any included credit. This deal was last available in January.

    Are you sure this is there? I went on Tuesday night (March 1st) at about 10:30pm and none of the 4 vouchers were for freebies that I can recall. I recall seeing the $0.30 coffee, something half price in the upper right corner and the $1.50 hot chocolate. I forgot what the other one was, but it's probably the half price Twirl Mint thing you mentioned.

    May be targeted ? I've just tried and don't see any Prepaid SIM free on the screen. Hot Choc and Coffee still there.

      I'm surprised. It's on the main page of their website. Maybe the ATMs will update today.

    Shouldn't be targeted as it is one of the vouchers shown on their website: http://www.colesexpress.com.au/

    I haven't tried it yet however so don't know.

    I have gotten the voucher for this but some Servo store actually ask you to fill in a form just to obtain one of these which is ridiculous. I'm looking at you Shell on Ballarat Road, Sunshine

      you can use it as in-between when you want to use prepaid simcards from a same telco.

      It's handy having a spare number that can receive texts to create additional accounts for some services like Uber, Liven etc.

    Still on a high from the free $10 Optus sims. Went around to all different Coles Expresses on my route on quiet days and got about 10 in total that equates to 50 days of free 500mb data on the $2 Days plan, about 25gb in total (which of course I couldn't use in total but this was great for getting some casual worryless data)

    how does this work, where do you check your balance? do you go into a coles checkout and do a balance enquiry to get the offer?

      You do know what Coles Express is right? I've never seen a Coles with an ATM.

      Go to Coles Express - not Coles. They have ATMs and you go do a balance check, just like you can with any other ATM. Use ING or a Coles branded card so it's free. Then you get to pick one of four vouchers on the screen that appears.

      The purpose of doing the balance check is just to have the opportunity to pick a voucher. You could withdraw money if you want instead - you just need to use the ATM.
