Not the sort of drive I'd choose for an OS drive, because it's mixed read/write scores aren't ideal
But as a fast storage drive, for games or the like, it's an excellent choice
great deal just grabbed one
is this the lowest price so far?
nah mate pretty sure this was at $265

Good deal but the checkout converter is telling me this?
Grand Total:
GBP 144.79
Payment Grand Total:
AUD 293.78AU$283 is the rough conversion if you are going to pay for it in Pounds with a fee free credit/debit card such as 28 Degrees.
OP have you got a screenshot of the original price? Was gonna jump on live chat with them and see if I could get a part refund for the difference…
What do you mean by 'original price'?
At the moment my cart is the following:

@lyl: Refreshed the page and getting the right amount. Strange…
Whatever you paid for the item should show up in your order. That's the only price they'd care about if you ask for a partial refund.
Nice! Less than 30c/GB!!
I wish I needed this.
I ended up buying one. I had a bunch of stuff in my Amazon UK cart waiting to be purchased anyway. Adding this SSD only added about $1 to my shipping cost.
OzBargain rationale at it's finest. Spend $283, but save a few dollars on shipping. :P
All hail our Ozbargain overlords!
Nice!
I just picked up a 500GB 850 Evo yesterday to use as my external portable drive for photos. If only I had waited a day!
Spoiler: I ended up buying this anyway, will be putting the 500GB Evo to good use elsewhere haha
You can never have too much storage ;)
FYI if you use Amazon's conversion rate to AUD it comes out at $293.78 AUD.
they must have updated it, it says it doesn't ship to Australia now.
im waiting for them to braek the $250 barrier, when they were $265 each i was tempted
I was expecting this to be a low quality in terms of iOPS or speed or such drive… but it really isn't. Not top of the pack, but top quarter in performance which is damn good for this price. Obviously beaten out by PCI-E cards, but you'll pay double+ on those so you'd expect them to be better.
