      Kogan has not bought stock so why would it they need to maximise value so until the store lease ends or the value they can get out of the stock is less then the wages and overheads they will lower pricing as little as possible.

      upvoted you neil. Saved me a trip to the Dick Smith stores tomorrow :)

      It seems a slow spiral to the inevitable, from what you've posted it seems an extra 5% on all previous discounts excluding TVs and Apple. Not sure whether it will tip anyone here to go on a spending spree. Personally I'm waiting until a local store closes on the 19th to hopefully swoop on a bargain. And for all the others to shut up shop in three weeks - then we should see the real cut prices (at least to supplier cost which margins are product dependent but would probably be around 50-60% of retail as a general rule) on TVs, computers, phones etc. Most computers and TVs are at 25-30% premiums set to original RRPs so I doubt it will cause the majority to rush in, and most phone models are old.

      I went in the other day and an Xperia 1 (which was selling for under $80 during the real cut price sales in December) is selling for $300 (or around $250 now). I doubt many will pay that for a four year old phone but you never know, I guess adminstrators are counting on the hype; 80% is a great headline discount until you find it's on watch batteries and XMAS knick knacks.

        Someone negged your comment but I would also like to know, it's strange when digital cameras were 40% "now" (was 0%) in the last link it says 40% off "now" (was 0%) in this list. The list also doesn't include big ticket items like TVs or computers. It does seem strange.
