Its just shocking the people who went and bought them to just make a profit, checked eBay just then someone went to BigW and bought all three and Posted a photo on eBay and even had the BigW bag underneath it all. They should have had a limit one per person, cause when target posted them on eBay 5 days ago one guy bought 10 yellow, 6 blue and 6 red and then posted them all for sale today
Its true, Pokemon and Nintendo fans will do anything for them, I Just wish I had of had enough money to get Red and Blue aswell

Not only did people cut in and not get what should of been theirs through disorganised staff, they actually trampled on wrapping paper boxes which were acting as dividers to organise people into the register area….

I searched for it yesterday when i got an email for eb games, there wasn't any available at target even in the afternoon. I just called up the highpoint store and got told stock will only be available online and they apparently will restock. I'm gonna post on their fb page and see if it will help!

Just so you guys are aware, you can buy the games from the 3DS Shop for $13 each. I picked up a pre-owned 3DS for $108 from EB and bought the Yellow version for $13. Saved $28!
People are downvoting you because they're buying this as a $150 box to sit on their shelf; not to play the actual game.

Japanese version is like 150 posted, if u want it sealed from a japanese webstore.. 200 posted on ebay from people trying to make a profit.

Can confirm only 3 per store, if they got any at all.
I was lucky, woke up at 11.30am, didn't even know this was a thing until I checked OzB, so I walked down to Big W in Melbourne QV and they had a Red left. Not out on shelf, only behind the counter at the photography section of all places. Lucky I asked, as there were 5~ dodgy looking 20-30 somethings walking around the console section flicking through all the Nintendo/DS stuff muttering about Pokemon under their breath.
Apparently there were only 2000 units of all colours in the entire country. I would say EB, Target and Big W all got 600 units each (200 of each colour). With 200 going to smaller retailers.
Target sneakily sold half their allocation of Yellow on eBay On the 22nd. So they had only 150 on their web store. Even with a limit of 1 of course it would be sold out in an hour.
The Red and Blue went more slowly as they would have had 250 left (after selling 50 on eBay on the 22nd).
Can you imagine other manufacturers (like Apple) allowing this kind of practice? Firstly releasing a rediculously limited quantity and then allowing it to be pre sold or held before release date!
These limited Nintendo releases are really a fan service. And they should only be for the fans and not for the scalpers :)

Yeah it can, just without the 3D turned on. The only games it can't play are games made just for the "new 3DS", but as far as I know there is only 1 or 2 of them.

I know this is a Target post but I got a yellow from Big W yesterday morning. Got there (Tuggeranong) at 8:20, so 10 minutes before opening and was relieved to see no one else in sight. Wondered up the back to home entertainment, no one there. Guy finally came and had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. Started looking through drawers and nothing, pulling random items out asking if this is what I was after? Last cupboard he looked in he pulled out a mid size cardboard box. 1 of each colour. Again he had no idea. Was asking me how rare they are and they would probably be worth a bit of money. Could see the twinkle in his eye. Thought about buying all 3, thought better of it as he put the box back away. Not sure of the outcome but Tuggers only had one of each colour with me scoring the yellow. Never know- Red and Blue could still be there?

Wander to the front desk to then be told no idea what I was talking about and to check home entertainment. Now brisk panicked walk back to home entertainment, as people were starting to filter into the store in general, though for no reason as there was no one in sight up the back. Happy days! Sorry might be off topic, but can someone explain, besides the pre-installed games, what the difference is between these and the older Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire consoles? My kid will open it and play the hell out of it so the outer box isn't important, but the look of the console is. Can I just buy a second hand older omega ruby or alpha sapphire console and download these 3 games from the e-store?

Thanks for that. The 3d component isn't important, I actually prefer it without, makes the eyes go a little crazy. I just wanted to make sure that the previous released pokemon 2ds consoles are exactly the same aside from the newly installed games.

Received mine today! Just wondering was anyone's sealed? My box wasn't. Bought 2 x yellow from amazon and 1 x red from Target. Planing on keeping a red and yellow and play the second yellow one. But since it's not sealed might swap the UK plug with the AU one.
