Interesting… I assume it's not a one off coupon then if you've successfully purchase something using it?

      • How to get 10% discount coupon? I tried this : 92OVFG3PDYBUEI, but it says coupon already redeemed.

Much better title for next time "Panasonic TH-60CX700A 60″ Smart 4K Ultra HD LED TV $1996 @ JB Hi-Fi"

Ozbargainers are able to understand brands and don't need to be sold to with a title like yours

  • 1800 at BingLee previously: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/221776
(yes, yes, no longer available, but shows there should be some more haggle in that price… and yes, yes, 1800 included ebay 10%, but there's one of them at the moment too and still we're $200 of that earlier price)

        • @yacman: In store with the barcode is fine also

  • Wow, the price history for this TV is all over the place.

    Has been this price before

For a name brand, a UHDTV (3840 x 2160 resolution) at 60” under 2 grand is basically unheard of in Australia, especially one that supports HDR and has a quad-core processor.

    Why the advertising OP?

Ah ok, description stolen from here

    • +1

      supports HDR

      • I got that…

      • If HDR support is important to you, then you may want to research if the TV does actually support the feature, as it indicates that it does NOT in the details on the jbhifi page.

I purchased the 65" cx640a when it was $1999 at jbhifiba a few weeks ago and looked over the specs at the time. Only the top model the cx800a had support indicated, and that was with a future firmware upgrade. The 640a, 700a and 740a all showed no support in the specifications.

Happy to be proven incorrect. But I think it would be better to get confirmation if this is important to you.

        • I was thinking the same, I thought only the 800 series had support.
Just looked on Panasonics site and the 700 does not support HDR.

    • for like a week then jumped back up

  • 1) Is this model good for playing videogames (PS4)
    2) How about movies?
    3) When does the 10% off code expire?

  • +1

How to get 10% discount coupon? I tried this : 92OVFG3PDYBUEI, but it says coupon already redeemed.

  • Can anyone help with the 10% discount code please?

  • Can anyone pass a 10% discount code please? Thanks

  • What are people using their 4K TVs for? Future proofing is a fool's game in tech. It's obsolete before you have it in your possession.

    Apart from :
    - watching the odd 4K Youtube demo video
    - perhaps displaying your pictures at higher resolution (if your eyesight is perfect, and you have a way to display images at 4K - either very new computer hooked up or TV supports playback over WIFI or you're willing to constantly transfer large files to USB for viewing on the TV)
I can't think of a reason to upgrade.

I'm not convinced by this either:
    http://www.cnet.com/news/4k-tvs-arent-stupid-anymore/

The HDR gamut argument is only going to really apply at the top end of the market.

Okay if the price is very close AND I'm looking for a TV, maybe I'd spend a few extra dollars. But why are people upgrading?
