Ah, chocolate! Is there anything it cannot do? At the Newcastle branch on Monday these were reduced to $1.00 but they scanned as Choc Santas at 25c. They are individually foil-wrapped Italian milk chocolate bells, best before 28 June 2017. Burdened with carrying other items, I only purchased 28 bags. So I returned yesterday and bought another 32, along with 3 tins of Desobry Belgian Chocolate Biscuits. They are in my opinion the best biscuits one can buy. The 1kg tin was, I think, nearly $30 before Christmas, but they were certainly $19.98 after Christmas. Yesterday they were discounted to $15.00 but they scanned at $5.00, best before June 2016. Apologies for late posting, but I just re-found the receipt. Presumably other branches are also disposing of Christmas stock.

Walkers brand is a disgrace to the UK. I suspect these milk chocolate bells are made by Sorini. There were also Italian chocolate coins 84g discounted to 50c but scanning for 25c, however the bells are better value.
There is still hope for other branches. I have not returned to BigW Newcastle since last week, but today at Cessnock I bought another 18 packs. They also had 200g packs of Chocolate Santas, but they scanned at $1.00.
Port Macquarie HAD Walkers 800g Nuts & Fruit tin yesterday for $5, I got 3 yesterday and took 2 back today, awful little fragments of nuts in bland chocolate.
I took the 150g mints (1$) back without trying them, I don't want to ever have anything to do with the brand.
795g Quality Street plastic were $5, I don't expect them to be great but at least edible.
