  • How big are the samples?

    • probably 1 tea bag…

$1.40 for 3 bags? pretty sure a box of 50 bags is $3 at coles and that's certified fair trade and organic too.

  • Australia post letter price raise $1.4 is not sufficient anymore OP.

T2 Tea do this for free if you just walk into one of their stores.

How does Valley Green Tea compare?

Hahaha I feel like businesses these days aren't willing to absorb the delivery costs for samples, in return for some new business.
Like Australia post offer cheap rates for shipping samples in bulk

  • I'm confused.

Do I need to attach $1.4 in stamps or is $1.40 the estimated cost for an envelope and stamp? If so, Its going to cost $2.80 in total as I need to organise the initial envelope and stamp and include another envelope and stamp.

Alternatively, Can you add a samples item to your website? That way you can charge the $1.40 for envelope and stamps and it avoids the hassle of sending a self address envelope and stamp.

      I'm confused.

Just go to T2 and taste them for free…

Or buy a 10-pack of Twinings for around $1 at the supermarket.

Cost of stamp for standard size letter is only $1. Why $1.40?

  • +3

why is paying for samples a deal? samples are normally given away by companies for promotional reasons.

  • Is this a joke?

    For those who are confused:
1/ the postages are charged and collected by Auspost
2/ the samples are free of charge
3/ the samples are premium loose tea samples - not tea bags
4/ the samples are for testing/tasting purpose only

    regards

    • For those who are confused

I don't think anyone is confused.

the postages are charged and collected by Auspost

      Ok.

the samples are free of charge

      Nope, they cost $1.40.

the samples are premium loose tea samples - not tea bags

      Ok.

the samples are for testing/tasting purpose only

      As opposed to??

  • Hello figarow

I think you are a bit confused here (and some others posted):

1/ the $1.40 is the stamp value (classified as 'big letter' by Auspost, therefore $1.40 instead of normal letter $0.70)

2/ "the samples are for testing/tasting purpose only" - As opposed to??
Explanation: we have some customers send in sample requests on a regular and use it as a mean of supply instead of sampling. The statement is to clarify that this is not the purpose of this sample offer. The offer is for those who like to find our about our product quality before purchase (https://www.valleygreentea.com.au/tea-quality.html), or those may be like yourself who like to find out about the differences between tea bags and premium loose leaf teas.

    regards
