iHerb Adds FREE Loyalty Credit to Every Existing Account (Amount Varies Per Account)

110

Was on iHerb's facebook page and noticed in a facebook message they stated

To jump start iHerb's new Loyalty Credit program, a loyalty credit has already been added to your account! To use it, simply shop as you normally would and you will see the credit applied to your order once you have logged in.

I placed a dummy order and i saw a $36.03 credit applied to my account. I also haven't made an iHerb order since 28/3/2014. The loyalty credit applied to my account is exactly equal to 5% of all my orders combined prior to 28/3/2014.

You will see the discount applied when you place an order.

      Your comment is rubbish.

      • enlighten me how this is diff to his last post: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/232382

which was really been notified by iherb via emails then also for the fact that iherb decreased VIP maximum discount.

        • So you would prefer not to know you have some free credit in your account and just wait for it to expire

I was unaware of the free $36 credit until I visited the Facebook Page

@easternculture: Next we'll have a post about telling us how much free referral credit you have from posts to ozbargain, Fair enough about sharing, but its forum material

        • @easternculture:

Maybe you have unsubscribed your emails from them. But I had about $200+ credit and actually received more than 2 emails since the program started telling me to use my $200+ credit. Quite amazing seeing those credits could be the extra 5-8% that I didnt need to pay in the first place if they were to keep the maximum VIP discount.

Any mention of an expiry date?
Edit: Nvm found it in my account info: " Your credit expires on March 06, 2016 23:59:59 PST "

  • I had about $8 on mine. Thanks for the reminder EC.

    Belongs in forums

Didn't have anything on mine despite $500 spent between 2012 and April 2014.
EDIT: you need to accept the terms and conditions for the rewards credit when you make a dummy order. I see my credit now! Thanks EC!

    • Where did you see this? I have around 50 old orders and there is $0 credit even at the 'enter payment' page.

This is more of an announcement and reiteration of ops previous deal, and referral fishing.

    • It's just about all the OP posts

  • Thanks OP!
Given the amount of stuff we've bought off those guys our next order should be free. :)

Although, my loyalty credit says $8.24 which is only 5% of $150, we've spent way more than that?

Isn't this just the normal loyalty credit?

-Loyalty credit equals 10% of the value of your last order with iHerb, excluding shipping charges, and is available to be used toward your next order once your last order has shipped.

    • Each time you place a new order, a loyalty credit equal to 10% of the value of your order will be given to you.

OK just been on the chat with iherb and here's how it works. It's not 10% of all orders, it's 10% of the AVERAGE order.

"We are going to get the total value of your orders from January 1, 2015 up to January 18, 2016. The total amount will be divided to the number of orders you have placed on that dates.

Then we are going to get the 10% of that amount. This will be the amount that we are going to credit you as a jump start of the program."

Oh well, my 8 bux will pay for freight I guess. :)

      • Thats very interesting. I wonder how the OP got any credit at all since they happily stated in their post

I also haven't made an iHerb order since 28/3/2014

        and they say

I was unaware of the free $36 credit until I visited the Facebook Page

Something not right here if what you say is true as they should have no credit since no orders were placed in that time frame,

        • Yeah that's why I queried iHerb about it. :)

Although if he put in one order for $360 then that would work?

        • +1

Not sure why. I calculated the total of all my orders. Then divided it by 20 and strangely that was the amount of bonus credit. Don't ask me how

  • I already mentioned this in your last iHerb infomercial

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/232382#comment-3420745

I got the email last Sunday, did you guys also get the:

To give you a jump-start, we’ve deposited a credit of $5.00 USD in your iHerb account

    ?

Meaning I got around $7.11 loyalty credit in AUD

This credit and announcement was communicated via email to iherb customers around 24th Jan.

At best this post should be merged with the previous one as it's all the same, it's their loyalty program, that's it.

    • I didn't get that email?

      • Do you get any of their emails? Perhaps either you opted out or you're junk folder is catching some of them?

        • Nothing in the junk folder, it's possible I wasn't subscribed which would make sense. :)
