Regarding the deal, put VIC in title. Shame that's too far for me.

Hot bath at home: maybe $1

    • +3

      maybe $1

It'll cost a lot more than $1 to get a bath full of spring water delivered.

        • sea salt, whatever other crap is in the pantry, perhaps $2 total
        • +2

They're not salt baths, it is spring water…

          @jv:

Take out springs from an old mattress. Put in the water. Spring water. Ta da.

        • @ms: Hot springs, though?

        • +1

          @Utopian: Microwave them first.

    Entertainment book deal is better.

    • +7

Your absolutely right, 25% off is far better than 2 for 1. ps I have a spasm look on my face now.

      • It can be used ANY time.

        • +7

Well maybe your comment should have been better constructed. I.e entertainment book has 25% off for those who can't make it during this offer.

  • Seems to be $35 ($20 if 8am) in case anyone was wondering…

Went there with my wife mid last year. Second time we'd been. The first time was years ago, and was lovely, relaxing and fun.

Second time… not so much. Was full of tourists from a certain region that were rude, pushy, had no concept of personal space and just down right assholes. And when I say it was full, you were having to wait at the springs for a good period of time before being able to get in. Not really worth paying money for IMO.

Maybe we went on a bad day, who knows. But just wanted to share our experience.

      Don't go during OFF PEAK

      • +1

You mean don't go during peak?

        • +2

the tourists generally go during OFF PEAK… = more profit for the tour company.

    • +3

Why can't you say the region? Are people too scared to state facts now?

      • +8

From China. That would be my guess

      • +1

He said rude and pushy people, sounds like Europeans

        • +1

No sounds like Chinese. Even their leaders say many are embarrassing and need to be more civilized. I suppose the leaders are racist?

Could have applied to Indians just as much
I have given up taking photos along the Great Ocean Road as a mini-bus full of Indians would stand in front of a photo-op site for 40 minutes getting every possible combination of cousins, grandparents and children in shot. The only option is to climb over the barriers and take pics behind them

        • @GaryQ:
Thanks for dragging Indians into the discussion. I almost forgot about them. Much appreciated.

Agreed. Many years ago it was a pleasant and relaxing experience and patrons would respect this and each other. Unfortunately, the majority of customers that attend no longer respect this or have any regard for others and I haven't been back since that second trip.

  • Been with the mrs. Very nice and relaxing, in a beautiful setting. At the same time, it was quite boring. LOL. that's my brain, though. It is just a hot-springs, though.

    • Been with the mrs.

      Yours or someone elses ?

      • Not supporting monogamy anymore, jv??

    • +3

      it was quite boring

They need to put in a few water slides…

    • Yes. Bathe at home, save time and money. Supply your own springs, as suggested above. Avoid fat loud people.

The experience at the hot springs in no way represents the photo referenced in the first comment, unless you take your own … scenery.

      • +1

        Avoid fat loud people?
SO now I can't bathe on my own
        Harsh

I solve 50% of that problem by not talking to myself

    Kinda crowded…kinda dirty…kinda expensive…kinda noisy.

  • Has anyone managed to apply the promo code yet? I'm not seeing a difference in price on the checkout.

    • Turns out this promo does not work with the early bird pricing.

    • Hey I picked up 2 tix for a Thursday evening; $35 for 2 entries.

      • Weird, i just booking for Tuesday morning at 9am and it wouldn't apply any discount. Changed it to 10am and it worked fine…

  • +1

    Used to be good value…

Now off-peak is only 3 days per week, and costs more.

Haven't been in a while, and am not rushing back. As others said, too noisy, not very relaxing.

I went there for the first time recently on a busy summer sunday - enjoyed it. Just booked for 2 for my parents…..hope they enjoy their second vsiit.
