I feel like before Christmas there were some amazing 1tb xbox one deals. I have been on the hunt since boxing day and have come up with nothing! Why the dry spell? Are there more ebay 20% deals coming?
Can more experienced ozbarginers give me hope?

My tip (if you're OK with secondhand) is to look on Gumtree. I'm a console collector - mainly retro - but I will pick up current 8th gen machines/games at the right price.
Example: a couple of weeks ago I spotted a couple of ads on Gumtree from a chap selling all of his gaming stuff, including a 500GB XBox One console w/ box and Kinect, two genuine controllers and 14 complete disc games. After some quick haggling I picked up the lot (photo of the games here) for $420.00
I normally avoid Gumtree as I only tend to find consoles/games that seem to have been placed through a meat grinder but after seeing some of your hauls on your Instagram feed…I'm re-considering.
BTW, genuinely enjoyed looking at your retro collection of games, gadgets (and food pics). Little jealous of your recent Xbox 360 and original Xbox finds though.
Gumtree can be VERY hit and miss. It's all about patience, timing and a little bit of good luck ;-)

If deals went all year long they wouldn't really be deals ;)
January to March is generally quiet, not just for consoles but even OzBargain, deal posts are down on everything and there will be many posts asking where all the deals have gone.
Everyone spent all their money around the Christmas period so think of it as a time to prepare your wallet for this year's deals.
Deals should come up to help 'celebrate' Easter and deals will definitely be back in time for EOFY (End of Financial Year).
