Was looking for a cycle pump for my new bike (just got into cycling) and came across this.
Not sure how long this has been on sale for and how long it will last.

Seems better than the Big W/Kmart options from physical inspection and comes with a gauge
I went into store to pick it up however there was only the orange colour left, which is strangely $79.98 on discount to $40… no idea why you would want to pay $15 more for the orange colour!
So click and collect the dark blue for $25

    Looks good. Yeah, stay away from the K-mart ones. Mine blew up straight away - couldn't handle any pressure. Replaced it with something more like this.

      Yep I went into store and they were $15 but build quality was questionable. These kathmandu ones are much sturdier and heavier - so I can assume will not blow up on you!

        I also purchased a Kmart bike pump a few years back to use on my road bike. I pump over 100 psi no problems. Seems like you just got a dodgey one that you should have returned.

          I bought a kmart one too which had been solid. Can't remember how much I paid for it (either $15-25) but I have noticed the ones they're selling now seem to be quite low in quality.

          @lawyerz: Wow. Mine blew around 40-50psi. Unfixable. I bought 2 cheap pumps which died, after which I decided to buy something a bit more decent.

          @Make it so: definitely bring it back to Kmart. If its on the gauge, you should definitely be able to pump to that level.

      It looks to have the typical Schrader valves (as most things do) so yes, it will inflate those trolley tyres.

      If you already own the trolley, check on the tyres what the recommended inflation pressure is. It should be written on there. Then check whether the pump goes as high.

          It should easily go that high. Bicycles tyres tend to require much higher PSI.

          Yep, this goes up to 160 psi

          Road bikes generally need 110 psi
          Hybrid bikes ~70 psi
          etc

    This is identical to the Torpedo 7 pump I've got but rebranded. Had it for 5 years, works great. Just maker sure you keep the 2 plastic screws (one where the tube meets the body of the pump, the other at the end of the valve adaptor) hand tight.

    Identical price and pump as seen in last year's deal.

    Looks like a pretty hefty markup on the RRP; as per usual with most stuff at Kathmandu.

    That being said the pump has served me well for a while now and it can do both Schrader and Presta valves (you just need to reverse the adapter and collar).

    To be honest, $25 is the most I would pay for a bike pump.

    I just grabbed a cheap pump from a everything shop for $10. It pumps air, why pay more.

      If you ride often then a good floor pump and a good portable pump are essential purchases imo.

      I've spent ~$50 on my current hand pump which is lightweight, super durable, and goes up to high pressure with ease (compared to cheap shit anyway). My floor pump was ~$80 I think, and again, it's high quality and was well worth the money.

        Well I guess that's the difference. Ur pumps cost more than my bike, lol.

        I'm too cheapo to fork out that much for a pump.

        I wasn't even gonna get a pump, but read on a few forums petrol station pumps push in 100 psi in seconds and could burst the tyre. So anyone challenging me to pump 110 psi, I'd say, I'll take it to the petrol station, and set it to 40:)

      I have one of those as well but the head is shit…. Screwing them on is a massive pain and the little quick head always blows off before i can get enough pressure into it.
      At work we use these pumps with the brass presta push on heads, they work excellent.

      You could, but it would be really slow. I did it once to a flat car tyre and it took hundreds of strokes.

      These pumps are designed for high pressure, low volume bike tyres so each stroke only delivers a small volume of air. If you only want to pump car tyres, get a pump designed for that task.

      never bothered with floor pumps cause ive got a compressor in the garage…. :P …..plus 3 or 4 frame pumps (you know… spares)
      mtb tyres dont need anywhere near as much pressure, but seating beads can be a pia depending on tyre/rim combo so comp comes in handy frame pumps for when riding
      …ive thought about grabbing a track pump but i just cant justify it….itll just sit there not being used

    Good pump, have had mine for many years. Just be aware the reversible head is a prick of a thing to change. Almost worth buying a 2nd one if your family is like mine and has a mixture of the two different valve types!

    The Kathmandu ones are excellent build quality. I have had one for 6 years and I am pretty sure the design hasn't changed. Beats my $100 Silca pump hands down….

    This deal may be expired, but I'm pretty sure if you walk into the store, they'll also be $25. I saw them on sale a couple of weeks ago at the Jindalee DFO. Good price for a pump like this one.

    These go on clearance all the time. I have the blue one from 4 months ago. 5 stars I love it. Top notch quality. Highly recommended. You can order it from their eBay store if desperate but may need to pay shipping
