My criteria for selecting apps:
✓ Must have 30+ ratings (on US itunes) ….. 887 Ratings
✓ Must have an overall rating of 4/5 or above (on US itunes)
✓ Must have not been free before in the past 6 months (to prevent dodgy apps that becomes free on purpose to gain traffic) ….. Last time free 16/05/14
✓ Must have not recently introduced in-app purchases (As a result of the app going free)

  I have this on Android.

  Fun game if you like shooting other spaceships and managing power/weapons/crew/upgrading ships.

  Trading is pretty boring with just static screens. You fast travel between systems and can then pick icons of planets to trade with or icons of ships to attack or run away from. If you engage in combat you go to a real time battle where you have to keep the enemy ship in your crosshairs. You can also have wingmates.

  Once you have finished the main campaign (with woeful characters and dialogue) you can fly around freely and just the shoot the crap outta other ships with your upgraded ship which is pretty much unbeatable.
