  • This doesn't seem like a deal. specs aren't that great.

    $699 for an i3 laptop? ….

$723 you can get a better one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/229768

    • Yes agree with you; there are plenty of better deals around for just as little as $100 more.

The E560 does have two slots, however in this model only one of them is occupied.

The FHD IPS screen for $55 would be a worthy upgrade was well.

      • Generally not. Factor in the extra $55 for the FHD IPS screen and this is a bit of a better deal really as I've not seen another laptop with a FHD, let alone IPS, screen for $759.

        • Except that Microsoft regularly has the Dell Inspiron 15 Signature Edition for $699 (including at least 3 times late last year: Black Friday, one of their 12 days of deals, and boxing day sale). It has FHD Touch screen, i5 5250 (HD6000 graphics), 8GB RAM, 1TB (though at 5400 rpm).

Given their history, it may well happen again (currently only $200 cashback - $899 - rather than $400 off at Microsoft Store).

        • @Trosticles: Sorry my bad…dont read the next set of lines…
Price listed on MS website is 989.10 and with 200$ discount, I bliv u can get it for $789.10 …still dearer by 90$ comparing their previous deal…But there is 10% discount for Students (and even staff).

ordered similar to one of these from lenovo last year for a family friend when a similar sale was one and upgraded to FHD and 8gb ram staying with i3. The unit was very solidly built, great customer support and when i setup the machine on win 10 it really operated well. as a $900 device these are pretty solid. but would def upgrade ram… also i think i could add SSD on that one.. anyway good device.
