Hi,
Just wondering on the below. Not a major deal but would like some opinions.
So pulled into petrol station (WA) today to fill up a while back. Petrol was not pumping and then I heard a request over intercom for me to come into the station to prepay.
I went in not thinking much of it other than that it was an inconvenience and then went back out to fill up. A woman pulled up on the other side of the pump to fill up and she was not asked to prepay. I then looked at the sign on the pump and it said it was a pre-pay pump from 10pm until 6am (I think).
I went back into store and asked the guy on the register why I had to prepay when it was before 10 and quoted the sign. He told me the sign did not read what I said above but it did. A customer then butted in and told me that it was at his discretion. I left it at that.
I am just wondering does a person who work in a petrol station have discretion to do this at any time of the day?
Thanks
