So will those Japanese language classes.

    • Theyre remaking rby again?

      • No, just rereleasing them as is on the 3DS.

        • as is*
          *=plus addition of online trading.

        • @Gehirn: correct.

        • Those images have dual screen stuff though. Wasn't the last Gen 1 rerelease Fire Red and Leaf Green on the GBA?

        • @MrMcHairyHead:

They're releasing virtual console versions of red, blue and yellow (and Green in Japan). So they're not remakes like Fire Red and Leaf Green, they'll have the original game boy colour graphics.

The dual screen stuff is just themes for the 3DS Main Menu. The VC 2DS bundles aren't being released outside of Japan as far as I'm aware.

  • How do these older titles compare with the omega ruby and sapphire releases - or whatever they're called?

    • +3

X/Y are the latest released Pokemon games
Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are remakes of older titles that update it to bring in features from X/Y and into the latest gen

At least that's my take on it anyway..

      • +1

Correct. Just finished Y. Great game. I would go with this over sapphire and ruby if you have a choice

        • I'm playing sapphire atm and the game is so easy that it takes the fun out of it. Pokemon X was slightly harder so a bit more enjoyable.

The older games were alot more challenging and more fun because of it in my opinion!

Anyone looking for one in Hobart, Target Glenorchy has Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for $33

  • Ordered on 11th Jan an hour after the deal was posted and got confirmation. Just received a cancellation order due to not enough stock. I had specified click and collect and figured they would just send one to my closest store if it wasn't already available.

  • Chatswood had one X and Y last night. I ended up going to EB and price-matching.

  • 3 pokemon Y at Macquarie Park NSW

  • So I was at EB games and I was looking at 3ds games. EB games has x and y a the same price as ORAS! $59! Crazy! I went to target bought x there for $33. Turns out the lady put the Alpha sapphire game cartridge instead of X inside. Win win for me.

  • Decided to grab X instore. Still at $33 for anyone sitting on the fence.

  • I know this is months later, but any word on whether these games can still be found in-store?
