Saw this on Slickdeals, price have been decreasing by ~$1 each day according to camelx3 (very cool graph), so the longer you hold off your purchase, the cheaper it gets… (hopefully).

Wii U is not region free. Keep that in mind :)

    • Thanks, my bad.

    • Neither is the 360 right?

No home console is region free

        • Xbox One, PS4 and Vita are.

However, DLC is not region free on PS4 and Vita.

        • @AXiS: really? gosh I have been lied to. unless it follows the blu ray region system of A and B?

        • @Apple96: Not sure if blu-ray movies are region-locked on the consoles (possibly are) but games definitely aren't which is nice.

Nintendo are now the last ones holding out with region-locks. Sadly they're also the last ones who release first-party games at different times in different regions.

        • @AXiS: So is 360 region-free?

        • +1

@ronnknee: Nope - just the Xbox One, PS4 and Vita.

There are a few select 360 games that are region-free, but you'd need to check which ones specifically.

  • That's a great price. Cheapest I've seen local is $A99.

The only thing that worries me about this is that all the reviews suggest you'll need to buy a lot of extra packs to get full value out of this and they can be quite expensive.

same goes for Disney Infinity, Amiibo and Skylanders.

    • As noted above, I'd also be concerned that the disc that comes with it is likely to be NTSC so may not run on a local PAL xbox. On the positive side, the lego pieces should connect with existing lego bits around the house so maybe there's a little extra play to be had from it compared to some of the competitors. My main concern is that the special 'dimensions' bits will go missing in the pile of other Lego bits scattered around the house…..

      • yeah happened in the first hour one of the starter pack bits went missing……

  • Can anyone comment definitively on the region status of this for the XBox 360?

I've purchased games from the UK before but they would be PAL. Does that even matter any more now that everything is 1080P?

    • If this is from the US it'll be NTSC and won't work on the 360 im fairly sure

    • No way of knowing unless someone actually plays the NTSC disc in a PAL console.

For the record, my NTSC copy of Max Payne 3 works on my PAL Xbox 360.

      • my PAL copy of Rise of The Tomb Raider works on my NTSC-J Xbox 360.

  • Seems to have gone up to $US58 for me.
