Not really. Not worth it at full price, but for $1, gimme some.
If you want a good deal just go on to woolworths Town hall (err if you live in Sydney) and they sell a "small" chips (Mccains thick chips) for $2.40. They fill up about half to two thirds of a chicken bag. Comes with a choice of chicken salt or regular salt and now free tomato or bbq sauce!!!!!!!!! They also sell a large size where they completely fill up the bag. Not sure if other Woolies do this as well, haven't come across any others in Sydney.
But KFC chips are slightly better in my opinion and this is still a good deal.
$4 worth of KFC chips (on this sale) would easy fill your average coffee cup :)

OP says 4 per order. Nothing stop you from having multiple orders if you want to fill up a jar. $10 chips should be enough to feed a whole family ?

Might just be easier going to your local fish n chips place and ordering $10 worth of chips… Probably crispier and taste better too.

Sorry, I have serious issues with this app. NEVER has it worked. Tried at more than 6 stores in 3 states. It says the store accepts online orders and errors at one of the last screens.
You must really like their chips if you're willing to travel to 3 different states for them!
What can I say, best chips out of the big 3 (Maccas, HJs and KFC…)

@sqeeksqeek: considering the saving on the chips - and your love of the chips, would it be worth getting a cheap android phone, without a sim or plan, and use the app on it? tether from your iphone when you need to use the app?
The app works fine. It must be an issue with your phone. I don't think the neg is fair.

Works fine with no issues for about 5 people I know. I never argued that it was not within the guidelines, I just believe it's a dick move.
I'm not sure if it still works, but last time with your receipt, was an option to fill in an online survey to get a "special deal" the next time. Once you'd filled in the survey you could use the same number for any subsequent visits. They never check. It's just a 5 digit number.
The "special deal" was if you spent $4.95, you got a free small chips and a soft drink. So I would buy 4 small chips and a dinner roll which at my KFC was $4.95. So for an extra 95 cents on top of my usual 4 chips order, I would get an extra chips, dinner roll and a can of soft drink.
The drive through guy at my local KFC thought I was clever. His managers though, who have to approve it, sometimes seemed annoyed. It just made it taste all the better.

With a car full of kids my chance of coming out alive if I ate all of them wouldn't be good. I did eat the "bonus" chips though, or sometimes sacrificed myself so others could have more. Strangely no one begged for the dinner roll, which I quite like.
Looks like this might be state specific. I can't get the app to find participating stores in Brisbane.
QLD and WA have a different company running KFC as the master franchise…they don't have the same offers as NSW or VIC.
The survey deal is still going, I have used a few times and wasn't aware you could re-use. Will have to try next time.
I assume this is one reason why they limit the $1 chips to 4.

You can, but the dinner rolls are really not very good.
@James1976: Very true, though with a bit of butter… Anyway, don't see it as gaining a dinner roll. See it as paying 95 cents for a can of drink and a small chips.
