McDonald's CYT Burger - 16 Free Ingredients

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Get 16 free ingredients on any CYT Burger. Haven't seen anyone else do this at my local Maccas so I assume it isn't common knowledge. Price is $8.95 for beef and $9.95 for chicken.

Process:

  • Choose beef or chicken and bun type.
  • Select three cheese slices, can be of same or different types.
  • Skip the Turn Up The Taste ingredients because they cost money.
  • Under Fresh'n It Up select a total of 10 ingredients with maximum of 3 per type.
  • Select three sauces, can be of same or different types.
  • Pay and wait for your frankenburger.

Tip: Probably best to ask for a plastic fork too since a burger with this many things in it is hard to eat.

I found it gave an insight into why so many deals end up with 100s of upvotes, a huge number of ozbargainers have no idea what a good deal is

      • Well I think compared to the normal maccas burgers this is a good deal. It just isn't considered an ozbargain deal due to it not being a promotion or hack of some kind.

      • There is a reason why the subjects of financial management or basic economics are not usually taught in primary schools. If the masses are finally astute, they will be more frugal and thus the economy will be less stimulated. This is just an example demonstrating this.

Maybe there should be a checkbox when posting a deal to auto move to forum say at end of day, to save moderators having to get involved??

But I appreciate these posts, because if they went straight to forum I wouldn't see them.

The regulars here have confused bargains with deals. Just because something is available to everyone every day doesn't make it less of a bargain, and this seems like an ideal place to share such a thing.

I'll be searching for this page if I'm ever in Maccas, to ensure I get maximum value.

As one of the "regulars", I would like to see more quality deals, and not ones which are of common knowledge. Going by your logic "just because something is available to everyone everyday doesn't make it less of a bargain", can you imagine seeing the following on the front page every once in a while?

        • FREE napkins and straws from McDonald's!
        • FREE WiFi from Hungry Jack's!
        • FREE water from McDonald's!
        • FREE paper bags from Hungry Jack's!
        • FREE salad with Subway 6 inch/footlong purchases!
        • FREE toilet paper from ALL restaurants with toilets!

I even find the discounted apps/e-books deals to be junk.

        • Lol, there has been free wifi posts in the past

        • why don't you try it and see if it gets to front page?

        • Mcdonald's has free water? I didn't see the post??

i found this useful I want this now

  • Remember when a burger from Maccas used to cost $0.99

    • did it have all this on it though?

      • But it was $0.99

        • How many decades before today was that?

    • no, but I do remember 75c cheesburgers I think it was on Tuesday afternoons. good times.

  • Howcome all Mazccaz posts don't have a screenshot and they all come with "McD don't like us taking pics" what's the deal with that?

    • There is no deal, only free straws and napkins

Be warned. Maccas switched Mustard providers recently and their new sweet mustart sauce smells and tastes like plastic. It stinks. I think the old one was NZ made, the new one from CN.

I have never heard lettuce, tomato etc be referred to as a 'condiment' before. To me, a condiment is a sauce. My immediate reaction to adding 10 condiments to a burger is that it would be super soggy!

    • I was thinking the same. What would you call it then? I've changed it to toppings, hopefully that doesn't make it sound too much like pizza. =P

      • Ingredients? :)

Doesn't that make it sound like it's part of the patty? I've changed to ingredients now, hopefully that'll satiate the grammar police.

  • Check out how it could turn out, Casey Neistat's friend tried something similar.

    • Sorry mate too slow, someone already posted that one..

  • Mcdonalds has quite a few new FOUL made in china condiments in particular Sweet and Sour Sauce. I'd gladly pay 50 times more for it not be made there and will never try it again!
