    The cord detaches and has a standard two pin figure 8 connector. I have a couple of those cords just lying around from broken electrical items.

  Damn. I wish I had the 5 port instead of the EU plug 3 port that doesn't stay firmly in the EU->AU adaptor.

      It is not, hence me wanting a 5 port.
      The 3 port has the power connector directly on it; no cord.
