Scivation Xtend BCAAs 1152g (90 Serves) for $74.34AUD Delivered at iHerb

20

Hi guys,
Long time following, first time posting.

Been looking for BCAAs for a long time and this is one of the best deals that I have seen.

Price is $82.60, but in cart becomes $74.34 with free shipping. Thats 83c per serving as opposed to 89c per serving for BN's BCCA Recovery (1kg) for what is often referred to as one of/the best BCAA around. Alternatively with the 20% off BSN offer atm (see ozbargain deal below) you can get BSN AminoX for 70 servings for 44.01 that's 62c per serving but will not qualify for free shipping unless you reach a cart total above 40USD.

NB: I felt this deal deserved it's own post, however would not have found this without the deals posted here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/223335 and here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/228346

  • Forgot to add that BN's BCAA recovery for 89c per serve, would not include delivery hence 1kg BN BCAA Recovery would be $65 plus $7 flat rate shipping= $72 for 73 serves, which would actually be 98.6c per serving.

Have a quick look on eBay, xtend is cheaper there but I'm not a big fan of xtend

    • i've never seen the 90 serve of Xtend that cheap on eBay

    • I had a look and actually there is scivation xtend Endurance for $60-64. The major difference apparently is that it is the same formula as the original scivation xtend but with added carbohydrates, this does take the calorie count per serve from 0 to 128.

So as long as you are not aiming for weight loss/cutting then scivation xtend endurance would be the way to go.

Personally I am aiming for weight loss and want to use BCAAs, in addition to at the gym, as a sort of snack replacement/to keep me going.

      • Yes my bad. It's been a while since I've bought supps.

Interesting point thought, from the studies I've read, provided your protein intake is on par, there is minimal evidence that bcaas work.

  • Not a bad price for branded I guess, but I fail to see the benefits of this as opposed to BCAAs from a 'no name' supplier at ~50% of the price…

  • This is not just BCAAs, it does have electroytes as well.

    • Unflavoured? Must taste like ass.

      • I like that taste

    • I asked for a sample in my last protein order of the flavoured version and didn't like the taste, personally speaking
