This has been free before (about a year ago I believe) so here is another chance for those of you who missed it. It is an old game but still pretty fun to play and in terms of gameplay holds up well for its age.

As usual to get the key you:

  1. Enter e-mail
  2. Do captcha
  3. Check e-mail and activate giveaway if necessary
  4. Get your Steam code from your Indiegala account
  5. Redeem Steam key

Enjoy.

    • Thanks watching the review covered the whole game so I dont need to play it now =P

  • "85% Positive Reviews on Steam"
    72% now.

    • Are people rating it like it was just released? Show me a better first person story/puzzler/shooter from the same year.

      • Yes, the rating is a bit dubious. I think different people apply different sets of criteria which makes the ratings less objective and comparable. Therefore, I never simply go by the ratings.
But given this is free, getting this is a no brainer.
In fact, I think this game is actually quite good and fun, unless one requires top notch graphics (which I know you personally don't).
Hope your Christmas and NYE was good and enjoyable.

      • Why should that matter? You rate a game depending on what you think of it NOW. There's no point recommending for 2003 etc. unless they create a time machine in the future :/

        • Please stay away from any ratings buttons near Pong, Zork, Tetris, Street Fighter & Alone in the Dark (Feel free to downvote IV).

The point is, Realms of the Haunting is a fantastic game. The concept of FOUR CDs of in-game video-clip files is lost on people these days. I'm still waiting for someone to show me a better 1996 FPS puzzler. Especially one with as trippy a story as RoTH. The next closest bizarre gameplay I've seen are the stage(s) in Max Payne.

The game is in a different league to Portal or Talos. Judge it on it's own merits, not it's fantastic 1996 graphics.

        • @Lukian:
No, people like you should stay away from voting, this isn't a 1996 best puzzle game contest, you rate what you enjoy now, not what you enjoyed in 1996… If you still play Pong and enjoy it then sure, go ahead an recommend it but if you don't play it anymore and wouldn't want to play it NOW then why would you recommend it?

        • @AreYouAWiiizard: I would want to play it now.
