I think an easier way to beat the bomb would be to refrain from purchasing this game.

nothing against this deal, but my god this game is terrible. better off buy cod on wii u than this if shooter is your thing.

Correction: 'better off buying splatoon on wii u if shooter is your thing'.

sad thing is im kinda tempted to get this at $30 just to see how average it is.

  • I recall a poster getting negged alot about this on release, saying they'd wait till it drops, as it inevitably would. Well they were right. Only first party titles hold their value on Nintendo.

  • I purchased this solely to leave in shrink wrap and hope that it's incredibly rare in 15 years :P

Although reading online, that seems stupid. It was popular in the US because GameStop only received 420 copies. God knows how many our release has, but being closer to Japan it might be more.

    • I have seen this in nearly every retailer who stocks wii u games so im guessing its far from rare in these parts.

Game is alot of fun, people are going to go back and consider it a gem / classic in a few years. Its an enjoyable underrated title, basically a game in the vein of the cover based Gears of War series, mixed with some Mortal Kombat 4 type of weaponry fighting and agility climbing.

Some learning curve with the abilities/controls but its alot of fun. A bit of a gem for Wii U, cover shooter with a politically incorrect Duke Nukem vibe meets Kill Bill, Evil Dead, Gears of War and Vin Diesel movies.

Generally the higher ranked / larger teams are online so you can play them in siege matches from the team rank menus when you select their teams for offense matches. If this is a deal breaker, you might want to avoid depending. Game also has a score attack mode for bonuses / a minigame with rewards that carry over to online perks.

Fun for single player, boss battles are rough and tough (not for those with slow reaction time with dodging battles). Multiplayer is neat as well. The main Multiplayer mode is deep. The creator recommends the Pro Controller, but using the Gamepad is fine with index fingers on the bumper buttons. Gamepad has ranking, text chat, etc. Game has auto-cover and an additional lower cover button (right thumbstick).

Its more on the sloppier side of brawling games then the tighter, challenging Ninja Gaidens, but it handles more like a cover shooter mixed with a beat em up and a faster adventure game (the parkour, if that makes any sense, those seem to be the hybrids people compare it too). Its fun but ridiculous.

If your looking for straight up Ninja Gaiden Razors Edge / Ninja Gaiden One, this isn't it, but if you want a cover third person shooter that gives you alot of different options and variety, this would be more up that alley.

The boss battles are very difficult though, the one thing that felt very Ninja Gaiden like. If you miss 1-2 siderolls you can die instantly. Occasionally the cam goes wacky but you just need to dodge out when it happens…

  • At this price I'll give it a go. It doesn't look as bad as critics made it out to be and I've heard it's nothing amazing but definitely playable from gamers.

  • Dollar for dollar if this game keeps you entertained for a weekend either by being mindless fun or just plain bad (which can be fun) not a bad deal for $30 for a newish game.

More than I can say for battlefrontEA
